I am Wiccan and love to collect Tarot decks. I enjoy fairy art as long as it isn't too cutesy (think Brain Froud). I currently work as a vet tech at the city animal shelter; I really enjoy what I do so anything animal related would be fun for me. I like to ride my bike around the city and go exploring. I also enjoy bird/bat watching with my husband. I live with my husband, one chinchilla, and three cats. I don't like political items; I feel like that's a personal thing and should be left as such. Other than that, I am very easy to please. Especially if it involves cats, the creepier ( think Halloween) the better.

I like almost everything, from bagpipes (yay Tartanic!) to classical to indie pop: Freelance Whales, Imogen Heap, Fascinoma. I also confess a liking for goth music: Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, Dead Can Dance, Concrete Blonde, and Echo and the Bunnymen. Recently in love with Lana del Rey, She Wants Revenge, and The Editors. Guess you can tell I used to be goth; okay, I might still be, just a little;)

I could go on and on here: Peter S. Beagle, Terry Pratchett, A. Lee Martinez, John Steinbeck, Neil Gaiman, Morgan Llewellyn, Edgar Allan Poe, H.G. Wells, Lovecraft... I tend to lean towards fantasy and horror. One day, I will have a library to live in. Until then, I just have one (small) in my house.

I am really big on fantasy here: The Last Unicorn, Legend, Willow, Labyrinth, The Lord of the Rings, etc. I also enjoy a good scary flick (not gory), ones that really get in your head and stick there. Such as The Others, Rec, Mama. The gory ones aren't scary to me, just either campy (which can be good, thank you Evil Dead) or gross. If you haven't watched Requiem for a Dream, don't! Why would you do that to yourself?

Doctor Who, Firefly, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Supernatural. Anything that can be accessed through Netflix since I don't usually have time each week to watch tv. I love watching it while crafting or playing with my 'chilla; she likes the Doctor Who credits. Update: Hulu now has the Doctor (squee!) I can finally catch up and not miss the 50th Anniversary! (happy dance, happy dance)

I have always enjoyed cross-stitch and sewing by hand. I've started getting into origami which the cats have been thrilled about, since everything is a cat toy. My bike is always a work in progress as I add things to it and take away others. I am also trying to learn calligraphy so I can explain my strange obsession with pens of all kinds. I also love stamping; I've been eyeing heat embossing recently. I also like making little books and journals.

I've always loved garb of all kind, from medieval to 50's housewife. Recently I have gotten into steampunk, I think because it combines shiny bits with lots of corsetry and skirts in dark colors. I also love learning new things, especially if it involves science or medicine. My goal in life is to eventually become a mad scientist. I already have the lab coat and goggles, now I just need the lab. I also enjoy learning about people's day to day lives. Mine has always been a bit...odd, so someone who lives a so called average life is fascinating to me.
