About my letters and postcards

Those who have received a postcard from me, most possibly have noticed they do not have a traditional stamp on it, but some like this:

with a barcode and a qr code. Why this? unbelievably, there are no mailboxes where I live, the only way to send a letter or a postcard, is to go to the post office (my greetings to those nice post officers), where the letter or postcard will be postmarked with a sticker with the code instead of a stamp. More modern but less stylish. Apparently this allows a better tracking of every letter so they are distributed faster. There is no other way to send them

And there is no way to send a naked postcard (without envelope)!! If I bring a postcard to the post office, they will tell me to put it into an envelope. They have rules to do it so. (sad face)

Things I like:

• I love planes: postcards, posters, pictures, videos, scale models, and working models.

• My favourite colour is green, Colour of nature, calming and soothing, the best things are green.

Note: I like all kind of teas; rooibos, green, flavoured...

• Cats: I have two of them, Mini and Triki.

• Crosswords, and most kinds of puzzle games. I am fairly good solving them,

• Strategy games, tabletop and computer versions. The art of carefully planning a wining strategy to see it shattering to pieces once implemented.

• Also maps!! I am maps fan, both real and imaginary maps alike. Have you seen my books list? Right, if it has a map on the first page, I am sure I will like it.

Wishlist:

• Spices & recipes: I love hot spices, the redder the pepper the more I like it. I am also open to try any kind of recipe from anywhere in the world.

• Dark chocolate, with walnuts, almonds or peanuts, and also with orange, pepper or mint. But not with vanilla or chocolate with milk. I'm not very fond of sweets, but I like marshmallows and jelly beans. I'm more of strong flavors like peppermint, eucalyptus and licorice.

• Cat toys. Plushy, Cute. Ringy. Everything for my cats.

• Tourist postcards.Beaches, planes, mountains. Whatever your country can offer.

• Weird postcards. And I mean weird; A postcard with a tomato riding a cucumber horse. A postcard of sumo wrestlers playing chess. A postcard of the Queen of England.

• Electronic swaps? Stories and tales, Mythology. Weird and terrifying pictures.

• Food: Teas, canned seafood. And cupcakes. Yes, I can make cupcakes :)

• Last but not least, Adventure Time memorabilia.

Things I don't like:

I think it is too soon to decide what I don't like.

Cardboards! What can I say... I am not very handy or crafty. I doubt I will ever enter craft swaps :(

Recently, Interstellar. Previously, Inception. Previously, Gattacca. Previously, The Princess Bride.

You can see the trend... the Big Adventure.

Anything with fantastic, or futuristic, or epic themes will be something I like. Even more if it is not just some action adventure, but has an undertone or background that makes you think about it for days or years.

Mostly Sci-fi and Fantasy. Although I am an avid reader of any kind of literature, excluding romance and romantic vampires.

Of course one of my favorite authors is JRR Tolkien, although I already own and have read every work by him. Unless some new unpublished work is discovered, there is nothing more left there.

And then George RR Martin, I was a fan of him before the Ice and Fire saga become widely known. Stories like the Sand Kings or the voyages of Tuf, were there. I am waiting for the Winds of Winter, but I am not going to see the series until I have read all the books. So, I will watch it a lot of years into the future.

Dan Simmons. The Hyperion Cantos can be considered as my ALL Time favourite books. Long and complex, space opera, And there is going to be a movie!
