Haven't heard a lot of positive things about this place especially when it comes to trading ATCS, but let's try it anyway.

My thing to do is poetry, writing (stories, journals, reviews, articles and exposes), oil painting and pen-and-ink drawing. I love making postcards for trading on postcrossing. I'm learning to knit and have been sewing professionally for historical reenactment since I was about 15. While I mainly take clients in the US, I've branched out this past year into Canada and Mexico. After spring 2012, I'll be taking orders out of western Europe and S. America as I'll have more time to travel.

I like many styles of arts and crafts, from dark steampunk and macabre fairytale to cute chibi and bright kawaii. I still collect stuffed animals and Barbie dolls (esp. the international and altered ones) but also burlesque and erotica. My half of the house is decorated in Pre-Raphaelite art (Waterhouse, Seddon, Hughes, Dicksee). I also just started to collect vintage button covers after finding some really pretty ones at the thrift store!

I'm a History major in college with a LGBT minor. When not focusing on my studies, I work for the college radio station and newspaper, volunteer in the LGBT advocacy club and at the local domestic violence shelter, make costumes for the stage productions on campus and in town, do fundraising for Phi Kappa Phi and American Assoc. of University Women, picket and protest in a variety of grassroots social causes. When not doing all that, I'm in the local and regional craft shows and competitions and occasionally perform with my sister-in-law's burlesque troupe.

Alternative college radio, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Ke$ha, Katie Perry, Amy Winehouse (RIP), Pink, Rihanna, Ani DiFranco, Christina Aguilera, Fiona Apple, God-Des and She, Zee Avi. Not really into boy bands of any age.

Laurell K Hamilton 'course, Meljean Brooks, Stacia Kane, Nalini Singh, Illona Andrews, Cassandra Claire, Gena Showalter, Mary Daly, Camille Paglia, Shannon Bell. While I love the smutty vampire erotica out there, I don't like Twilight and I can't stand the Southern Vampire/True Blood series or Vampire Diaries (Anna Paquin, ew; Nina Dobrev, ick).

I love when people prove me right! :) I'm so thankful for the mature and professional artisans I work with on a daily, weekly and/or seasonal basis. True artistry originates from the soul and is expressed in every word and action. It inspires rather than degrades, promotes rather than suppresses, shares instead of hordes, and exhibits pride and happiness for others rather than hatred and jealousy. You either have it or your don't. You can't learn it and you can't teach it to others who don't already have it in their spirits.
