I am 29 and hail from a tiny speck of land south of Charleston, SC called Edisto Island. I was born in Charlotte, NC, but raised on the island, as my family moved to the beach when I was still a wee bean.

Though I am now frequently traveling, I do like to visit home, and use it as a base between my adventures. This makes it is the most dependable address for receiving swaps and other fun things by post.

Raised by animal lovers, and growing up on twenty acres of land, from domestics to wild and unexpected, many creatures have passed through over the years, temporarily or permanently calling our space home. In this spirit, I am currently owned by four kitties, having rescued three from a shelter (now six years old), and very recently being adopted by an abandoned deaf, feral, pure white kitten.

As mentioned earlier, I adore traveling, and always look forward to my next big adventure. Countries I have visited so far include: England, Ireland, France, Belgium, China, Spain, Iceland and Mexico. 2018 saw my first big domestic journey, with a ten day WanderVan circuit from Salt Lake City to the Grand Canyon.

If I am lucky, 2019 will find me visiting Japan and possibly returning to Iceland. Japan has been on my bucket list for YEARS, and I especially long to visit near my birthday in Spring to (hopefully) catch the cherry blossoms! Other top bucket list spots: hiking to Macchu Picchu, seeing the pyramids in Egypt, visiting the Redwood Forest, frolicking through the Hall of Moss and enjoying a sunset in Greece.

When I am not out engaging my wanderlust, you can usually find me dancing or with my nose stuck in a good book. Though I slowed my roll on dancing last year, I look forward to getting back into it more consistently, and learning a few more styles! Currently, I dance contra, blues and lindy hop. I intend to take classes this year in west coast swing, zouk, burlesque, pole, aerial silks and bellydancing.

Other fun tidbits - I have very recently started learning to roller skate. Now that I can roll without the constant windmill, I am quickly growing to love it and what great exercise!

I am heavily involved with helping my mother clear and manage my grandmother's estate, and remodeling the house. Estate sale, antique identification, organization, remodeling and deep cleaning tips are all welcome! This has been my full time job over the past year, and so far, two Ebay stores have been born of these efforts!

In other news...

I attended DragonCon for the first time in 2018, after nearly TEN YEARS of wanting to. And I. Am. Hooked. It is SUCH a blast to spend a weekend in costume, nerding out, buying art, admiring cosplays and making new friends. Sewing skills will certainly be on the roster this year, so that I can cosplay properly this fall. =3

I also love the healing arts and am trained in a handful of modalities, the most commonly recognized being massage, Reiki and Crystal Therapy. One of my goals for 2019 is to come out of the spiritual closet and continue my training in these arts rather than leaving them on the back burner.

Beyond these things, I am a goofy, extroverted introvert who is pretty much an open book. I'm always up for making new connections, so feel free to introduce yourself!

I'm really re-examining my crafting loves in 2019, as it has been yet another thing I've left on the back burner for far too long. I'm sure there are many new loves just waiting to be discovered.

My top priority, however, is learning to draw! I especially desire to express myself in cute chibi styles!
