Heidi

Hello there! I'm a 32 year old middle school science teacher living in the middle of cow pastures. I have a borderline unhealthy love for NASA and space in general. My students just roll their eyes at me when I mention it. I am currently working on making healthy nutrition and fitness choices, crafting, and paying off debt (shoutout to Dave Ramsey!). I grew up in central Pennsylvania and attended Shippensburg University. Go Raiders! I'm an extreme couponer and love passing the knowledge on to my friends! I love geocaching and breaking out of escape rooms. I have been a member of Swap-bot for a LONG time, but disappeared for quite some time. I've recently started getting crafty again and am looking forward to successful and heartwarming swaps as an adult!

I used to have a huge list, but in reality my choices have changed drastically over the past ten years. In the car I usually opt to listen to current high ranked podcasts, but occasionally turn on a pop hits or country station. At work and home, my favorite is acoustic playlists in the Amazon Music library.

Reading is a great escape. I wish I had more time to read for pleasure, above and beyond my professional reading. Lately I’ve been firing up the Kindle and checking out the lending library for some easy read sappy happy-ever-after romance novels (not the 50 Shades type) or some mystery/detective novels.

My forever favorite novel will always be The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I have officially completed two quilts and one purse! I am loving sewing and quilting! It is hands-down the best craft I have ever started learning! (As of 10/27/14 - my sewing machine is broken! Agh! Hoping to get a new one on Black Friday or Christmas!)

I enjoy baking and continue to practice my cooking skills to try to mold myself into the perfect housewife.
