As if my health woes have not been bad enough in the last six months; I was watching tv the other night & went blind in my right eye. I semi-hysterically called my eye doc; they got me in to see the eye specialist right away & my retina is detaching from the rest of my eye ball (I am diabetic & this is not uncommon for us). Unfortunately, the eye specialist did not sound very optomistic about the eye surgery I need to have to possibly save what vision is left in my right eye. I'll be having surgery the week of Nov 5th. Not sure how long I will be down & out.
So, as luck would have it; I got admitted yet again to the hospital. I am hoping that the third time is not the charm. This time I had a small bowel obstruction but thank goodness I did not have to go to surgery but will have to eventually. I hope this string of bad luck ends soon. Thank you for your patience!!
I was recently admitted to the ICU for a week so I am a bit behind in my swaps but am making them up as fast as I can. My right hand/arm are really swollen from getting blood work & IV's & I am right handed so will be having tests done on them soon.
My sister passed away unexpectedly in September. I can not stress enough that women need to make sure they are getting their mammograms & female parts tested. It could save your life!!
.I tend to like music from the 70's & 80's artists like: Elton John, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Journey, Rod Stewart, Pet shop Boys, Queen, etc. Penatronix is a new to me group that I really like, also.
Don't really tend to watch much tv. Masked Singer, Top Level Chef, college volleyball, etc.
Some movies I like are: Wizard Of Oz, Pretty In Pink, White Chicks, Lord Of The Rings, The Rose, The Accountant, Hocus Pocus, Venom, Dead Pool, Guardians Of The Galaxy.....
Most of the crafting I do is with rubber stamps, clip art, recycled items. Mostly making ATCs & cards but want to learn how to journal & make flip books, too. Just not enough hours in the day!!
I like making mini pocket letters, ATCs, hand made post cards, scrapbook pages, chunky pages, very basic journaling, etc. I like going to thrift stores, dollar stores, yard sales to find goodies to craft with or recycle.
