Hello! I'm new to this swap bot thingy, so please, be gentle with me! I'm 26 years old and live in Surrey with my husband and 4 rats. Pet ones, that is, we're not infested. I work as a pharmacy assistant at my local hospital, after having to leave my previous job as a care assistant for children with epilepsy/learning disabilities due to mental health problems. I'm an avid reader, and have been a bookcrosser for several years.(I'm Miss-R on the BC site). I've got a feeling most of the swaps I sign up for will be book related. I like reading, going to the pub and talking about everything and nothing with friends, going on holiday,planning holidays, festivals (particularly Glastonbury), learning usless information (did you know that hippo milk is pink?), playing on quiz machines, thinking of new and inventive ways of avoiding the housework, dying my hair (not allowed to dye it pink in my current job- not happy!), procrastinating, sleeping, cooking, laughing at things that no-one else finds funny, talking to random people on internet forums, shopping in charity shops. And many other things that I can't think of right now.

I mainly like card making and ATCs, but I'm interested in trying other things, and I see signing up on here as a way to expand my horizons.

A Prayer for Owen Meany, Good Omens, the Discworld series, The Time Travellers Wife, The Other Boleyn Girl, the Earth's Children series, His Dark Materials... I will read most things though, I don't feel right unless I have a book nearby!

Rufus Wainwright, Manic Street Preachers, Muse, Hole, Sex Pistols, Bikini Kill, The Auteurs, Jack Off Jill, My Ruin, Amy Winehouse, Mika, Frank Turner... I was a teenager during the Britpop era, so my favourite congs/albums mostly come from that era- Pulp, Blur, Suede, that sort of thing. I'm always looking for new recommendations, I'll give most music a try, unless it's hardcore techno/rave/bleepy computer noises, which I really don't understand at all.

Lost, Neighbours, Hollyoaks, The Mighty Boosh, medical documentaries- the really sensationalist 'girl with 2 heads' type. I don't get a chance to watch TV much, not with hubby's addiction to computer games- the TV is usually being used by him to play on the 360 or Wii.

Some Like It Hot, Gone With The Wind, the Star Wars trilogy (I liked the prequels, even though they were nowhere near as good!), Dogma, Mallrats, Clerks 1&2, Moulin Rouge, Labyrinth... I'm more of a fan of comedy/escapist films than anything else, for more serious subjects I will turn to a book.
