My Name is Leah & I'm very blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to my cheerful, curious toddler boy & wife to my hard-working, devoted husband.

I made my first quilt in December 2009 & have since created several more (mostly baby quilts), in addition to aprons & a couple skirts.
I love cooking & baking & trying new things. I am enthusiastic & love sharing the things I learn & love with those around me (I've even inspired a few non-sewing friends to give it a try!)

My favorite designers include (but are definitely not limited to): Kate Spain, Heather Bailey, Riley Blake, Sandi Henderson, Amy Butler, Heather Ross, Joel Dewberry, most of Moda , just about everything from Free Spirit fabrics

what I pledged

I enjoy just about all kinds of music, except for rap & heavy metal ;) I am mostly listening to country these days. My favorites include (but are certainly not limited to): Brad Paisley, John Mayer, Michael Buble, Carrie Underwood, Jars of Clay & Hoobastank (I like an interesting mix) :D I especially love music I can sing along to! :)

I love romantic comedies & chick flicks right along with most other gals, but I also really like dramas & mysteries. My husband teases me that I could write these story lines since I enjoy trying to figure things out from the beginning :) I don't like horror movies.

I watch too much TV... but these days my couch time is more productive as I work on sewing projects :) I love 24, CSI, CSI:NY, The Good Wife, Criminal Minds... Food Network also is a huge hit in our house & I indulge in some HGTV day-dreaming as well :)

• MEADOWSWEET (I love both 1 & 2... I'm especially drawn to the henna prints) If you sent me any of this, you would be my best friend forever! I seriously LOVE this line! :)
• Noodles (5" x WOF) & Jelly Roll strips (2.5" x WOF) would be fantastic!
• My favorite colors are RED, YELLOW, ORANGE & LIME GREEN (I love Summer colors!)... PINK is welcome too, especially since I'm surrounded by boys in my house!
• POLKA DOTS! (especially any Amy Butler dots!)
• It would be fabulous to receive vintage sheet fat quarters or scraps! - my new OBSESSION!
• I LOVE & use aprons (handmade or purchased, patterns too!)
• I would also love homemade bags of all kinds
• A girl can always use more needles.. I use Schmetz universal (80/12)... I think... I have an OLD Bernina 730

PROJECTS I'M WORKING ON:

• I'm just starting to collect fat quarters for a yellow & orange quilt (living in the rainy Pacific NW, those are especially happy colors!)
• I'm also collecting RED fat quarters for a quilt for a dear friend of mine

• I recently discovered 'American Jane' by Moda & really love the vintage flavor.. so any FQ would be fabulous to make a quilt!

• Please no scented items
• Only 100% cotton fabric for quilting please

• We don't have any pets
• I don't drink coffee, tea or alcohol & I don't smoke
