My name is Meryl and I have two children, a son, Mitchell, aged 15 and a daughter, Kate, aged 13. She loves to do crafty stuff too!! Mitchell's main passion would have to be cricket.

I think I'm stuck in the 70's!! I love a lot of the music from that era. Maybe its because of the memories that the songs provoke!!

I like Amy Grant, Cliff Richard, Abba, Bruce Springsteen ...

I also enjoy Christian music as well ... Newsboys, Casting Crowns ...

Karen Kingsbury would have to be my favourite author at the moment. I have quite a few books of hers, some of which I haven't read as yet ... I am waiting for a time when it won't matter if I don't turn out the light until 2 or 3 in the morning, as once I start these books, I can't put them down.

I also have quite a few books to assist with ideas for raising positive, well balanced children ...

There's also a bunch of books that I have that give ideas and inspiration relating to Artist Journals and Mixed Media. I am soo enjoying looking at other peoples' work ... I just have to get my studio to a point where there's enough space to be able to work in it, instead of bringing everything out to the dining room table ... and then having to pack it away ... and then getting it out again ... and then putting it away again ... I think you get the idea ...???!!!

Oh, and my Bible is a pretty important book to me too!

Hmmm ... favourite movies ... would you believe the most recent movie that I've seen several times ... no, more than several times, would have to be' How to Train Your Dragon' ... yes, you can tell I have children!!!

Also like: 'Dave', 'Apollo 13', 'Sleepless in Seattle', 'Field of Dreams', 'Back to the Future', 'Finding Forrester', 'Pretty Woman', 'Nottinghill', 'Twister' - notice these have all been around for a while!!!

I don't actually watch a heap of TV, but I do like to watch the cricket when the Aussies are playing ... if I'm not working ... or getting dinner ready ... or dealing with kids ... or .....

I enjoy watching 'MasterChef Australia' with my kids!!! Also 'Better Homes & Gardens', 'Who Do You Think You Are' and NCIS;

I really enjoy Art Journalling, ATCs, Mixed Media, Junk Journals - very excited about this!!! I love using up little bits and pieces!! Scrapbooking; Card Making; Patchwork & quilting, although haven't done much in a loooooonnng time!!! I love to look at scrappy quilts ... again using up little bits and pieces!!!

Would love to do a journal which includes fabric pages as well, using really interesting fabrics and fibres. I have HEAPS of interesting fibres ('wools') that I have been collecting for a while and would love to include them in journals. I've also been collecting old books that the library has been getting rid of with the idea of using them to make into a journal or using the pages in other journals.

As embellishments and fabrics, I love dragon flies, butterflies, frogs ... (we used to have some REAL tadpoles in a big pot outside and had our own baby froglets in our garden when we used to live in the tropics)!

Also love ivory-ish textured fabrics and embellishments ...

I love lots of colours ... probably a lot of brights ... have been bringing in red into the decorating of our home ..
