Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read my profile.

My name is Natalie and I live in a small town in the state of North Dakota, USA. I was born and raised in Minnesota, but moved to North Dakota a few years ago.

My husband is an accountant and my son is active duty in the US Marine Corps. We are a proud patriotic family.

I have a deep love of animals. We currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I used to foster animals for a local rescue some years ago.

I am fortunate enough to work from home and have been with the company I work for nearly 7 years. A couple of benefits I enjoy due to this is that every day is bring your pet to work day and I don’t have to drive to work in the frigid winters.

More about me- I am geek when it comes to fun office supplies. I love to bake far more than I like to cook. I try to have a small vegetable garden in the summer, but I can only have a couple of small raised beds due to space. I do some canning, but usually have to buy most of what I put up. I am not much of a TV watcher and usually only watch what hubby turns on, so don’t really follow any shows that most people do. I like unique things so I am not really into things that a lot of people like such as Disney or Coca Cola stuff etc. I also try to avoid negativity at all costs, I don’t watch the news or read newspapers and I hate drama. My philosophy is that we are all here on this Earth together for a while, so why not spend it pleasantly. I don’t drink coffee and really only like black teas. Dark chocolate is my favorite and don’t really care of white chocolate. I am a wimp and don’t like foods that are very spicy, and am not too picky when it comes to food. I am an absolute freak for ice cream. I like inspiring quotes, and am trying to concentrate more on gratitude.

Reading – I mostly listen to audiobooks these days since I don’t really have the time to sit and read. I like a variety of books, but gravitate toward mysteries the most because I like to try to figure out “whodunnit” before the author. I do not like graphic/gory storylines, nor do I really read Romance.

Crochet- I like to crochet and like doing blankets/afghans the best. I like to say I am an intermediate crocheter because although I have done it for years still not the best at it. Probably because I was mostly self-taught prior to the ability to learn through youTube.

Dabbler- I have dabbled in many other crafts like card making, machine embroidery, adult coloring etc. Cannot say I am any good, but do enjoy them nonetheless.

Music- I listen to about anything but don’t care for opera or rap if it has negative lyrics.

Movies – I don’t like horror/slasher movies or “chick flicks” but other than that I am pretty open. I have a few actors/actresses I don’t care for so I will tend to avoid those movies. I live in a small town, so to actually go to a theater means a 40-minute drive and so I have to really want to see what is showing before I will spend the time and expense
