A bit about me

Im Rhiannon, 31 from South Wales, United Kingdom. Im a WAHM mother to two little girls - my oldest is 6 and my youngest is 2. I run an online fabric shop called The Sewing Boutiue selling lovely fabrics and sewing supplies. I love to sew gifts and things for the home - I aim to fill my home with lovely things I have made or have been handmade by other people as I love the originality that goes into handmade items. You just cant get that from a high street shop!!

My girls are my inspiration and a lot of what I make has them in mind. Which is why there is a LOT of pink in my work! My oldest daughter loves to help me make things and I love that we can craft together. I hope its not something she grows out of!! My youngest daughter is 2 and shows signs of having the crafting bug and loves anything with glitter!!

I love cupcakes to the point where its an obsession - cupcake trays, clocks, pictures, tshirts, pens, cookie jars - anything I can lay my hands on! I love incorporating cupcakes into my work as they are just so pretty and girly (and of course I love the eating variety too!! Maybe a little too much??).

It goes without saying I love playing with my girlies, love a sunny day and blue skies, love chocolate, obsessed with fabric, love polka dots, love a clean house but not cleaning!

Dont like diets, housework, spiders, a windy day, sprouts, magpies on their own!

Have been a cardmaker and still love to do that when I have the time and love my huge box of papers an embellishments. At the moment thought my passion is sewing and creating pretty, personalised gifts for babies and children. I have a sketch book full of project ideas that I'd like to try. Unfortunately, there arent enough hours in the day to do everything I'd like so some projects are destined to stay in my sketch book but they are there when I need inspiration!!

Am loving being part of the crafting community and looking forward to taking part in lots of swaps!

Cupcakes and anything with them on

The colours pink and yellow - although not together!

However I do love pink and green together and pink and brown together!

Pretty handmade items with lots of embellishments and buttons

Buttons - any type shape or size!

Camper vans - dont own one but I can dream!

Polka dots - in pink and white, red and white - any colour really!

Coffee - sometimes its all that gets me through the day!

Ribbons - grosgrains are my favourite at the moment.

Beads - my oldest daughter and I are into pearl pony beads at the moment!

Pretty fabrics - I love it when a fabric order arrives!! Although I do have to remind myself its not my own private stash at times :) My own private stash of scraps and FQs is starting to take over the house (but more prettys always gratefully received!)

Sewing - felt, fabric, onto canvases, clothes, dolls, softies....I love how endless the possibilities are!

Card making and scrapbooking - something I love but wish I had more time for!

Tea - cant stand even the smell of it.

The colour brown - reminds me of dirt

The gym - can find better things to do with my time.

Decoupage - too fiddly and a bit old fashioned (ooops - sorry to all you keep decoupage-rs!)

Soaps or any other smellies - have a cupboard full

Glitter or anything with glitter on - my two year old loves it but I cant stand it. You only have to look at it and it sticks to you for a week!!!
