Hello there lovely people! My name's Ashley and I'm from the sunny island city of Singapore. I LOVE traveling & baking in my free time, and my favourite time of the year is Christmas!! Oh and I have a lovely Whippet Greyhound named Bella whom I love!!

Writing a profile's always a daunting task for me, so I hope the next few sections will help in giving you a little more insight of me. :)

Dance like no one's watching i always say!

My ears have had a long love affair with the glorious, head-swaying tunes of Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Foo Fighters, Death Cab, Radiohead, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Hillsongs, The Fray, The Killers, The Cure, and numerous other (mostly indie) bands whose names coincidentally start with 'The'.. ;)

WARNING: Book nerd alert!

Cookbooks, travel books & all things crafty: My constant need to better myself has led to a bookshelf filled with an ever-growing collection of non-fiction books. Among them, cookbooks from Gordon Ramsay, Pierre Herme, Ottolenghi, Julia Child and Anthony Bourdain. Beauty books from Bobbi Brown, travel experience books, books on drawing, crafting, sewing, baking, cake decorating, christianity, and many many more..

Distopian Literature: Being able to escape reality and immerse myself in a fictional fantasy world is what drew me to this genre. Some of my favourite series include Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, Hunger Games, Eragon & Divergent.

Smart, Witty Writing: As a child, I fell in love with the writings of Dr Seuss and Roald Dahl.. And my love has only grown for books with wit & whimsy. Some books I have enjoyed recently include Francois Lelord's Hector & the search for happiness, Martin Page's How I became stupid, Stephen's Chbosky's Perks of being a wallflower and Patrick Ness's Topics about which I know nothing.

The food lover in me loves: Ace of Cakes, Food Network Challenges, Alton Brown, Gordon Ramsay, Anthony Bourdain, and Jamie Oliver

The kid in me loves: All Pixar and animated movies, with Finding Nemo & Monsters Inc being my absolute favourites. And all 80s-90s cartoons like Hey Arnold, Gummi Bears, Carebears, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Smurfs, and My Little Pony

The TV junkie in me loves: Sherlock, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Glee, Community, Gossip Girl, 2 Broke Girls, New Girl, Happy Endings, Grey's Anatomy, Elementary, and Friends

The film major in me loves: Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Juno, My Neighbour Totoro (or anything else by Miyazaki really), Hairspray, Star Wars, Tim Burton movies and Johnny Depp movies

When I'm not busy with work (or hibernating in bed catching up on tv shows), I spend most of my time:

• Travelling!! :) (My next trip's to South Korea in Dec! wee)
• Being an inquisitive foodie and exploring new restaurant, dishes & fads
• Baking up a delightful batch of cakes or pastries (I dream everyday of opening my own bakery)
• Experimenting with new recipes (I pack all my meals to work everyday)
• Watching YouTube videos on beauty, fashion and cooking
• Carving rubber stamps
• Drawing and doodling illustrations on my sketchpads
• Creating ZINES & project life spreads!

For the kitchen:
* Ingredients unique to your country
* Unique or new food items you've discovered

* I've been loving nut butters (esp Justin's chocolate hazelnut), chia seeds, anything coconut, chocolate orange/mint & ginger snap biscuits

For the craft drawer:
* ZINES!! I'll be happy to trade with anyone :D
* Anything for my project life really ;)
* i'm obsessed with thickers or any alphabet sticker sheets!
* Acrylic/rubber tamps (Hand carved or store bought)
* Washi tape & more washi tape ;)
* Craft punches
* Anything by Amy Tangerine, Dear Lizzy or Studio Calico
* Colourful baker's twine

For the beauty drawer:
* Nail polish (OPI, Essie, Barry M, Butter London, Ciate, etc)
* Cute stud earrings
* Unique/ whimsical rings
* Bath & Bodyworks/ LUSH stuff

For the love of random things:
* Warm fuzzy socks (I'm a sz39/40)
* Sheep / owl / woodland creatures knick knacks
* Vinyl figures / blind boxes
* Lego polybags, minifigs, or random pieces!
* Geeky knick knacks (Star Wars, Mario, Minecraft, etc)
* An owl mug mug

I would love to say that I'm a colour hippie.. But sadly, my allegiance lies with gorgeous shades of pink, purple, turquoise, teal, mint green, and grey.. I am also highly attracted to anything sparkly or glittery :D
