I'm backkkkkkkk.........Finally, things are getting better. I took some time to grieve and help my dad. I have completed the Pinterest Portugal swap and resent several other swaps but have only heard from a couple.

Update: I would like to apologize to anyone that hasn't received a swap from me. I want to explain what's going on not as an excuse but an explanation. As you already know my mother passed away in June from leukemia. As you can imagine this has greatly affected my family. My daughter has been sick constantly since school started, my dad had a stroke, and I have begun chemo at UNC-Chapel Hill. I've been really depressed about it all. My daughter and I are moving in with my dad so I can take care of him. I just got overwhelmed and haven't been successful at keeping up with everything on swap-bot. I am working to take care of this. My rating was a 5 until this so you can see that this isn't normal for me. Thanks for your understanding.

Newsflash☺. Since I last updated we've had two tropical storms and I was hospitalized for a serious flare up of ankylosing spondylitis and fibromyalgia and elevated blood pressure. I was medevacked from our local er to UNC-Chapel Hill. But I'm home and all my swaps have been mailed out. If you haven't received them let me know. A couple came back but I've resent them so hopefully they will make it to their destination this time. This has been on top of my mama's death. Not a good summer. Ready for a rainbow☺

Update. My mama passed away on Tuesday and we buried her yesterday. Please bear with me if I made a mistake on a swap. I will fix it. I don't have any due to be mailed until Monday.

UPDATE: At this moment we are waiting for my mama to die. She's in ICU on comfort care. If i forget a swap please let me know as it's very crazy right now.

My Life has been extremely challenging. I have Crohn's disease and have been dealing with anemia due to chronic bleeding. Worst of all my mother was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia of the blood and skin which is extremely rare. She was told that she will die but we're not giving up. If you don't receive a swap let me know. I'm keeping a notebook because my mind is overwhelmed right now and swaps are my stress release. If a swap gets lost let me know and I will resend.

The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara is my absolute favorite movie because it includes my love of Ireland and my two favorite actors. I love love love Gone With the Wind. Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh just capture my heart.

The Pillars of the Earth call our to my love of History. I was a history major in college. British medieval history is my favorite.

Reign is good because I love Scotland.

Patriot Games and generally any of Tom Clancy ' s books are favorites of mine. I grew up in a military town with a family that has served our country since the French and Indian War. So that's the tie. Little House on the Prairie books are my treasured books. My grandma introduced me to these books and read them together and reread them again with me reading to her as her health failed. My mama introduced me to Anne Shirley and I found a new friend in her and wound up with all of LM Montgomery ' s books that I could find. Anne Of Green Gables remains my favorite character because I related to her in so many ways. Another favorite author is Nell Wechter Wise. My two favorite books she wrote are Taffy of Torpedo Junction and Swamp Girl. Winnie-the-Pooh is an old favorite that I now share with my daughter. I have a 6 year old daughter who is caught between Frozen and the Swiss Family Robinson. She's in kindergarten this year. I homeschool her now after teaching for 18 years.

I live 15 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean in North Carolina. I love the sea and shells. I also have always liked pirates and related stories. Blackbeard walked our shores.

I l recently discovered Lady Grey and Green Tea with Jasmine. I don't care for chocolate teas or rooibus. I've learned a lot about some new teas that I hadn't previously tried since joining Swap-bot. I love trying new teas. I also like Colombian coffee and espresso and basically caffeine. Lol.
