Hi, my name is Ann Jacobs. I am 59 years old and married to my wonderful husband, best friend, and soulmate Joseph. I'm a Christian woman who is an avid crafter and painter who has a love for all things nature minded. I also love to learn about other countries, and I yearn to travel to Europe to visit our relatives and places where our family began.

We have a beautiful German Shepherd named Abbie, and she is so loved in our family. She has such a beautiful temperament and sweet disposition. And, I have to say she is soooo smart! We also have a sweet Beagle puppy named Milly who couldn't be more special or loved and brings so much joy and laughter to our home!

I love to sing, but I usually don't do it in front of people...I was a lot better at it when I was in grade school and middle school. As a baby boomer, I grew up loving all kinds of music; James Taylor, The Eagles, Kansas, Journey, Survivor, Styx, 3 Doors Down,Bon Jovi and the list goes on and on! Yay Arena Rock! We also love country music including Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Reba...

It's so cool that our 30 something year old son loves the same music as we do!

My favorite book to read is The Holy Bible. I love the inspiration, love and lessons that I learn about. I believe it is my ultimate source of inspiration!

I love cookbooks, especially from different countries :-) I look to our European heritage to discover new recipes, including Irish, Czech, French, Russian and Hungarian. I also love cookbooks from churches...

I love art books, especially when I want to learn new techniques...especially with plenty of photo demonstrations or tutorials

I really love to watch Tom Hanks movies, like "Cast Away." I also like comedies, adventure movies, Biblical movies, "It's a Wonderful Life," "Behind Enemy Lines," and most of all, "Jesus."

I like to watch Television. I enjoy Chef Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, Sci Fi, NCIS, Person of Interest, 60 Minutes, The 70's Show, Dr. Who, Palladia, PBS, How it's Made, The Big Bang Theory, National Geographic and reruns of 60's and 70's shows. I remember watching those shows BEFORE they were reruns! (And when there were only 3 channels to choose from) :-P

My current crafting/art adventures are painting and paper crafts, including quilling, card making, friendship books, and anything else I can come up with; I am also learning to do ATCs. I am experimenting with watercolors, acrylics, and pastel painting. I LOVE bold, bright brilliant colors, and especially love shades of purple, rose colors, teals and magentas. I believe my love for these colors comes from the many colors in nature and flowers in particular. I have been a longtime crocheter, and I can make a pretty nice granny square, but that's about it. I have tons of yarn, so if anyone is interested in a private swap I would be more than happy to swap yarn for a profile surprise!

I would ask that nothing pagan or occult related be sent to me, including anything to do with homosexuality, wicca, blood, or the paranormal.

Also, please do not send yarn since I have a ton of yarn already!
