Hi! So a bit about me....I live in Danville, Illinois and I have been married to my hubby for 24 years and I have 3 great children. My son is 23, my middle daughter is 19, and my youngest daughter is 13. Our youngest is adopted. That has been an interesting journey.... I love dogs. We have an American mastiff and a Jack Russell Terrier. We have a beautiful black long haired cat named Babs.. I am a RN, BSN and I work for Passages Hospice. I am soldier in the Salvation Army. It is my church first and foremost, and it is a also a fantastic outlet to serve others. I go on mission trips almost every year and will most likely be going to Africa(Kenya) which is a first for me! I do have to say that I respect all religious beliefs and I don't plan to force my beliefs on someone else. And what do I do when ALL of that doesn't occupy my time?? I make art. I do mixed media art and paper arts. Atc's, twinchies, inchies, chunky books, matchboxes, etc. I have a blog for my art and I own a somewhat embarrassing amount of supplies. lol My art table is a great 1930's old door with a piece of glass on it. Love it. I swap on Splitcoaststampers and belong to several Yahoo groups, as well as atcsforall.

Music....let's see.....I really like a wide variety. I think my favorite is the 60's and 70's and contemporary Christian music. Some gospel. I have a few oddball favs too...Neil Diamond, Prince, Dan Fogelberg, Toby Keith and White Stripes.

I think that Stephen King is one of the best all time story tellers. I loved The Secret Life of Bees and Mermaid Chair. I love the glossy pages of coffee table books, especially art books. I am a true magazine junkie! My favorite is Somerset Studio and Cloth, Paper, Scissors. I have a growing collection of Nancy Drew books. (the ones with the yellow spines) Don't gasp, but usually if I am buying a book it is to cut up for art projects. Old books, children's books, dictionaries, foreign text, bibles...you name it.

National Lampoons Vacation, Pulp Fiction, Fried Green Tomatoes, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, The Grinch-the original, Liar, Liar, The Green Mile, Stand By Me, suspense movies, but not horror.

I have been told I am a food snob and I totally agree..I guess that is why I like to watch the Food network, especially Alton Brown's Good Eats, and rarely miss an episode of Top Chef. I like the decorating shows on HGTV and l love Project Runway. I watch a lot of Discovery channel and History Channel. (what a geek, huh? ;) Can't get enough of Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs! I also have never missed an episode of Dexter..Currently just watched all the episodes of Weeds.

Here are some things I like:images and things from the 40's and 50's, old buttons, keys, old playing cards, game pieces, vintage costume jewelry, postcards, bottle caps, ornate old silverware, 50's pin up images, vintage Barbie, teapots, Anne Taintor, vintage advertisements, matchbooks. I like old lunch boxes and decorative chopsticks. I like art that is made well and is creative. I like attention to details.I like art that has natural components.I like steam punk art. I like shine and glitter.I like zettiology. I like meerkats. I like comic book style art. I like paper beads and I am a sucker for containers-tins, bottles, boxes, baskets-- you name it--if you put stuff in it, I probably like it. I like ethnic things, things that are representative of other cultures. I like recycled/green art if done well. I love postage stamps. I like Starbucks anything. I like tea and coffee. I am diabetic, so I have to take it easy with hot chocolate but I do like it. I like different types of dark chocolate.I like vintage linens and aprons. I like Birkenstock shoes and unusual purses.I like shabby chic. I like beachy things. Wow, that's random, but what comes to mind!

I don't like cutesy art. You wouldn't catch me in a holiday sweater with snow men quilted on.:) I don't like stickers unless they are used really well. I'm not into puppies or kittens or bella stamps or cartoonish stuff.No Disney or house mouse. I'm not a big fan of primary colors. I don't like sports. I don't like to exercise either! lol I don't like the horror or dark stuff. I don't like rose scented things. I hate black licorice. I don't like animae.

Since I do a lot of tea swaps, I thought I would add some likes and dislikes on teas I LIKE: *loose tea(I have strainers and such, just make sure it is packaged well to make it in the mail) *earl grey *fruity teas *mint teas *oolong, black, white, red, green
