I'm a self-taught folk artist, learning everything I can from my favorite dollmakers, and hoping to attempting to make my own patterns! My favorite dolls to make are Art Dolls and Halloween dolls because Halloween is my FAVORITE! I l also love primitive dolls - but only weird, grungy ones. Not the country look.

Three years ago I had a stroke at the age of 41! Had no risk factors - don't smoke, drink, or have high blood pressure. But what I DID have was a mouthful - Antiphosholipid Antibody Syndrome, or APS for short. All that means is that I have sticky blood that easily clots, and a clot traveled up to my brain! I'm okay, though. Have a bit of a visual field loss, balance issues, cognitive difficulties, and an ongoing fight with depression, but I'm very thankful I'm alive! I'm on disability which means I'm VERY BORED, so I appreciate any email or letters!

I was born in New Orleans & live in Baton Rouge.

My family is my center. My husband is my favoritest husband EVER (and my only one, but that's beside the point) and my daughters are only the best in the world. I also have a wunnerful, newly married stepson, who lives in Texas. Rounding out our little family are three cats and three dogs! We may smell a bit, but we love each other!!

I am also addicted to color! My house in decorated in what I call "Wonka-vision". My favorite colors are purple, green, & orange. And blue. And yellow. Red. Magenta. You get the gist ...
