Hi everyone! I'm Ártemis, a (male) theater technician and translator from Spain living in the US. It's good to meet you!

I didn't use to be a geek, but then I started dating my boyfriend (of 3-and-change years now) and accidentally turned into a casual gamer. Geekery or sci-fi stuff is always welcome! Even if I don't already know about it, I'll love to learn more.

I have a lot of very complicated feelings about being a child immigrant, and I'd LOVE to meet some other child immigrants, particularly from Spain. Because of those complicated feelings, I have recently decided to learn more about Spanish culture, including our food, music, and literature. It's hard to learn all this by myself, though - so if you've read a book or seen a movie or heard a song that you think I should know about, by all means message me about it! =)

I've been incredibly busy the last couple of years and I haven't gotten to craft much, which I'm really disappointed about and that's what I'm here to remedy. But I really like sewing (I have WAY TOO MUCH FABRIC, but feel free to send me literally anything else related to sewing - patterns, thread, buttons, zippers...), crocheting, and doodling.

I used to sew a lot back in college, and I really liked making corsets and the like, but I stopped doing it because the clothes I love to make (corsets, skirts, dresses, handbags...) aren't the kind of stuff I like to wear, and what do you do with a closet full of things you'll never wear? So I'm really open to making things I can send other people.

I also LOVE ATCs, decorated envelopes, and other kinds of small art.

Likes

• I love things related to my work in theater! Things like carpentry tools, measuring tape, musical instruments, old theater tickets... Two of my favorite clothes are a pair of socks with a measuring tape pattern and a shirt with a sound board printed on it.
• Anything superhero themed.
• Cats!
• Gold/silver/metallics.
• I'm an Enlightened Ingress player but have no swag! If you make stickers, buttons, or other goodies, I'd love some Enlightened stuff.
• Stickers, stamps, paper bits, or any other crafty things, particularly for ATCs. I'm just starting off so I don't have much of a stash yet.
• Anything bento related! My work means some days I work 10+ hours without leaving the building, so I'm trying to make myself healthy food to take. The boyfriend also appreciates bento things since he likes showing off my lunches at his office.
• Stationery.
• Lace.
• Stencils.
• Zombies/Monsters.
• Spain things.

Dislikes

I can of course pass this all along, but I won't keep or use these things:

• Loose glitter.
• Red/Rooibos tea, or teas with hibiscus.
• Makeup.
• Incense.
• Heavily scented items.

The Boyfriend Loves

I've been with the boyfriend for going on four years now, living with him for 2. If you'd like to include an extra for him, here are some things he likes:

• Modelling supplies. Models, paint, tiny brushes, etc.
• Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Sci Fi in general.
• Oldschool games, and things related to them.
• Really anything gaming related, both analog and digital.
• If you know any unusual card games, he'd love to hear the rules so he can try it out!
• Small (1/2 or 1/4 of a regular sheet of paper) notebooks to take to work.
