I really enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, golf doing creative projects, photography, and music. When I'm not spending time doing these things, I'm busy being a mom and taking care of my family. I want to be a writer when I grow up but in the meantime, I teach first grade.

I like primary colors and all shades and tones of blue. I'm not a big fan of earth tones. I love nature and enjoy spending time camping and hiking in the woods. I also love the beach.

I like simple things and clean lines. Less is more. I like things uncluttered and would rather have things a little too bare than overcrowded. Frilly and fussy are not my style.

Some of my favorite decorating books are by Alexandra Stoddard. I like Susan Branch and Mary Engelbreit. I enjoy my Gooseberry Patch books too.

I collect Willow Tree angels and not much else. I love having a vase of fresh flowers in the house. If there is one scent I absolutely can't stand, it's vanilla. I do however like citrus scents and sandalwood.

I'm a coffee drinker and I have never met a donut I didn't like. I love chocolate but it doesn't like me so I avoid it at all costs.

I enjoy lots of different crafty things. Right now I'm into making jewelry from old jewelry I buy at rummages and thrift stores. I also take lots of photographs, do some scrapbooking, and work on counted cross stitch projects. I'm really intrigued by ATC's and want to explore that as a new creative outlet.
