Just a grad student and a slave to the general public.
I am currently working at a Barnes & Noble as a musicseller and occasionally as a bookseller.
I'm currently in the process of getting my Ph.D. in experimental psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. I love reading psychological thrillers and psychological memoirs.
I like trying new things, especially new foods. My favorite food right now is Indian.
I LOVE to read. I'm not too big into science fiction (I dislike reading books with words I can't pronounce, like the made-up names of alien races/planets), but I do have some favorites. I love Douglas Adams and Neil Gaiman. I enjoy classics, but only if I listen to them as audiobooks. I don't have the attention span to read it myself (I tend to not understand the language) but somehow hearing it makes it better.
I'm also a big fan of moons and stars and spacey things.
I'm not sure what else to put here, so maybe I'll end with that and add more later.
Guster, Tegan & Sara, The Weepies, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Death Cab for Cutie, Keane, Savage Garden, The Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, The Sounds, Delta Spirit, Fleet Foxes, The Kinks
All the Harry Potter books, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, the Dexter books, Sophie's World, Catch-22, A Prayer for Owen Meany, American Gods, Anansi Boys
I love most anything by Oliver Sacks, and any psychological thriller novel. I also enjoy psychological memoirs like "An Unquiet Mind." There's also a new one out called "My Lobotomy," which I'll be reading as soon as I find some time...
The Bourne Trilogy, Wall*E, Garden State, the Harry Potter movies, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, National Treasure, Stranger Than Fiction
Generally, I will probably love any spy/espionage/gem/art heist movie you show me.
Dexter, The Amazing Race, Top Chef, The Office, 30 Rock, Weeds, The Soup
I love needlepoint. I've only completed about three or four in my entire life, and those were just itty bitty ones. The biggest one I've ever completed was maybe 6"x8". I have two big ones started that I hope to finish some day. One is of an angel and the other is a zodiac/moon/stars/sun sort of thing.
I've also started making softies. So far, though, I've only made iPod holders, an elephant, and a really deranged looking penguin. Items needed for this craft include different colored felts and threads.
I've recently started making temari balls, thanks to my mother-in-law. I've only made one but I'm addicted and will be making more. Thread and yarn are the two biggest components.
Anything that is strongly scented. I am sensitive to smells and many strong perfumes give me headaches and make me nauseous. I can handle light scents or scents that don't linger.
Other than that, I'm fair game! I'm mildly allergic to kiwi and avocado, but my throat doesn't close and I don't get hives or anything, so recipes containing these ingredients are fine.
I really love sunshine colors: red, orange, yellow, and pink.
I prefer bright, vivid colors, e.g. a bright blue instead of a pastel, baby blue.
