Hello! I'm Emma and I live in Nottingham with my girlfriend and our Syrian hamster, Murray. When I was 11 I would definitely have been sorted into Ravenclaw but the older I get, the more I identify with Hufflepuff. I love sending and receiving post and I speak English and Spanish fluently. I've been vegan for about 9 years now and was vegetarian for 5 years before that. I love cats but our landlord won't let us have any, so for now we have lots of plant babies- mainly succulents and spider plants. We also recently adopted our gorgeous, cuddly hamster-son, Murray! My sibling lives nearby and has 2 adorable rats who we visit all the time too!

My favourite colours are black and white, and I love polka dots and stripes. I also like mustard yellow, duck egg blue, grey, purple, various blues and greens. I prefer silver to gold. I love anything that's a little weird. I like arty postcards to put on the wall. I like pin badges and embroidered patches. I really like cats. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer- the TV show and the comics- especially Willow and Tara. I drink fruit, mint and other herbal teas. I'm vegan so don't eat or use anything with milk, egg, gelatine, carmine, beeswax, honey or anything else that comes from animals. I'm UK 5 or EU 38 for socks.

I'm really into independent comics and graphic novels. My recent favourite is The Tea Dragon Society. My favourite series is Lumberjanes. Other favourites are Nimona, Taproot, Jonesy, Spell on Wheels, Goldie Vance, Help Us! Great Warrior, Adventure Time, Princess Princess Ever After, Cat Vs Human, La Volátil. I'm also a big Harry Potter fan; I especially enjoy the audiobooks read by Stephen Fry. I enjoy fantasy novels, classic fiction and also a lot of feminist and political non fiction. I use NetGalley all the time to read and review upcoming books.

My favourite TV show of all time is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I also enjoy Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Good Place and Steven Universe. I'm a fan of murder mystery shows and will watch anything with decent LGBT+ characters.

I really love Studio Ghibli films; my favourites are My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo and Howl's Moving Castle.

I like a lot of folky acoustic guitar music like Sufjan Stevens and Iron & Wine.

I enjoy DIY, doodling, decorating everything with washi tape, and I painted a giant canvas of No Face from Spirited Away to hang on our wall. I've recently got really into cross stitch!
