8-30-2009 I've been MIA for quite a while. There are swaps I need to send out and I'll start sending them little by little this week. I don't plan on swapping anymore (or so I say). If I owe you anything you'll get it within the next month. To everyone else, hope all is well. Life is a rollercoaster :)

Well let's see...My name is Sandra and I'm a 35 year old single mommy to a magnificient darling boy, Julian Maximus. He is my little prince and he is the only one with the key to my heart!

I live in sunny California. My main craft interests involve paper. I LOOOVE paper! I can't get enough of it. I like making cards and ATC's and I dabble a little in scrapbooking. I've always been fond of crafts but haven't always had the time to learn things. I love baking, anything from scratch or a box! I admit i have a sweet tooth :)

I love watching good movies. I can't nail down a favorite! I love all genres of movies. I like reality shows. Especially America's Next Top Model. Most of all I LOVE to read books and I love to write! I always keep a journal or two handy. I'm always making lists. Fiction is my favorite type of genre for books.

I work for Los Angeles Unified School District with students who have special needs (autism, down syndrome, etc). People with special needs have a very special place in my heart!

I LOVE cupcakes, it goes all the way back to my childhood. I remember having parties for every holiday in school, and someone's mom always sent cupcakes. To me, they are the perfect sized delicacies. I've always like baking them and decorating them. Now I've passed on my passion to my little boy! I also love to frequent cupcakery's in Los Angeles. I've been to Sprinkle's and a few others. Someday I hope to have a cupcake tattoo. I'm serious!

I love all kinds of music! Music is in my heart 24/7. I don't limit myself to one type of genre. I'm open to listening to anything new.

Some of the genre's I like are;

• classical
• alternative rock
• reggae
• hip hop
• blues
• latin rhythms like cumbia, merengue and others
• jazz
• french jazz
• classic rock
• rockabilly
• disco
• old school rap and hip hop
• pop
• and basically anything that can make dance!

In a nutshell, these are some of the things that I like:

• My favorite colors are black and different hues of blue, most of all aqua. I like muted tones, jewel tones, and pastels. I love pinks, all shades! Lilac/lavender/purple too. I love the combination of black and white, pink and brown, blue and brown.

• I love paper! Cardstock, vellum, mulberry paper, any size paper, notecards, postcards, cards (especially handmade) stickie notepads, notebooks, journals, scraps, anything paper related!

• I love pens, markers, and pencils. Everytime I go somewhere (a museum, amusement park, other state) I always buy a pen or pencil as a souvenir. I need and use black more than anything.

• I like anything antique looking or old fashioned, especially regarding fashion. I love fashion and anything glamourous from the other decades, 50's and back. I love pin-up girls, victorian age, toile, and anything vintage.

• I love ribbons, flowers, embellishments, gems, sprinkles for cupcakes, Halloween and Valentines are my favorite holidays!

• I'm a girly girl, so I like girly things! Pretty things, anything beautiful or feminine. I LOVE make-up and I love images of make-up (stickers, ephemera, etc).

• last but not the very least, I adore cupcakes! Cupcakes and I go back a looooooong way....I love images of cupcakes. I love baking them. I love to eat them. Anything with a cupcake on it makes my day!

• I love items from foreign countries. I love matryoshka dolls and I have a small collection. I also like kokeshi dolls. Stamps, pictures, candy, etc from other countries/cultures fascinates me. I love to learn about other people and what life is like in their little corner of the world :)

My current passion is ATC's and inchies. I don't consider myself much of an artist, but I love to try! I've had so much fun making these little things. They're just the right size for me! I also love seeing how creative and artistic other people are.

I love paper crafts, cardmaking, altered matchboxes, making mini notebooks, and scrapbooking.

WHAT I APPRECIATE Everything! Just because I don't do it or don't make it doesn't mean I don't like it. My mother was a TRUE crafter. She knew how to knit, crochet, sew, made jewelry, flower arrangements out of dough, and other things. She also cooked and baked everything from scratch! Because of her I learned to love crafts of all kinds and appreciate them :)

I like to receive things that I myself don't know how to make or can't do. I can't sew, quilt, crochet, knit, or make quilts but I love the art of those talents!

My son Julian is the center of my universe. He's my best friend and constant companion. I couldn't have been given a greater blessing in my life than him.

Julian is 6 years old and just started 1st grade. He's just like mommy, he LOVES crafts! Everytime I sit down to craft he does too! He loves beads, gems, and painting. Whenever we go out to buy supplies he always grabs something too!

Oh, and just like mommy, he LOVES cupcakes! :D

Aside from being an aspiring crafter and cupcake enthusiast, my little boy is a typical boy. He likes cars, trains, and planes. He loves animals, all kinds. He's a huge animal lover. Julian's favorite animals are cats and butterfly's. He just discovred Bakugon and Pokemon.

• anything extra for my son! Just put a note "for Julian" on it. He's loving all the mail I'm getting but he wants something for him. I usually share with him. He loves anything I like!

• My favorite holiday is VALENTINE'S DAY! I loooove Valentines day. I'd love anything pink, red, or white that's Valentine's related!

• cardstock - patterned or non, different colors and sizes.

• a mixed CD of your favorite music. I'd love to hear what other people listen to :)

• anything cupcake! I collect all cupcake items.

• black pens or markers

• ATC's

• ATC supplies

• most of all, my greatest wish is to receive swaps that have effort put into them. They can be small, but as long as some time and effort is put into it, it brings me lots of happiness! I hope I'm able to do the same with every swap I send out.

Since you can't mail cupcakes, I like chocolate and nuts (especially mixed together!!) I like delicious cookies too. I love sugar free gum (Orbit and Stride are my faves!)

I would love to receive candies from other countries! (customs permitting)

I don't like mint.

I don't like DARK chocolate.

I don't like candy.

I don't like the scent of vanilla or coconut.

That's about it...
