Anything classical - but love opera best. I'm particularly fond of a good baritone and a big fan of Bryn Terfel. My favourite composers are Verdi and Wagner. I'm no expert but love a good tune.

Most of my reading is Fantasy. My favourite authors are Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson and Terry Pratchett. I also like a good crime/thriller book - particularly those by Jeffery Deaver. I bought a Kindle a couple of months ago and I'm busy filling it with all my favourites.

All the Harry Potter movies + disaster movies like The Day after Tomorrow and Dantes Peak. I'm a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings films and have seen them all, including all the ones with commentaries on from cast and crew. I regularly re-watch them.

NCIS, CSI NY, Warehouse 13, Eureka and Gardeners World.

I love most paper crafts - and have been card making and scrap booking for quite a few years. I also like making ATCs and postcards - both in paper and in fabric. I'm keen on embroidery and have been practising my machine embroidery - though I'm still a raw beginner. I have been cross stitching and doing canvas work and free embroidery for many years. I love to knit. I learned as a teenager, did lots when my girls were small, then didn't do much for a long time. I've recently taken it up again, and I'm particularly enjoying knitting lace patterns in lovely soft natural wools like alpaca and merino.

I'm 65 years young and live with my daughter Sam and our black and white cat Ellie. I'm interested in gardening - though I can't do as much as I'd like due to back problems. I'm good at supervising my gardener though. I'm addicted to the online game Lord of the Rings (Lotro) and play for several hours most days. There's nothing like pretending to be an elf running through Middle Earth killing orcs.

Likes Favourite colours - any autumn shades, green, brown gold etc. Buttons - old/new I love them all. Ribbons and lace. Butterflies and bees. Vintage style. Grunge - a la Tim Holtz. Metal embellishments. Elegant papers - particularly with flowers and butterflies. Handmade papers and mulberry paper. Textiles of all sorts.

Dislikes Anything cartoony or overly cute. Spiders. Religious items - I'm an atheist. Anything too erotic - though I don't mind tasteful nudes. Anything too bright - like primary colours.
