About Me

.simple girl. happy girl. I am a hardcore snuggler!!! i like shiny things, curiosities, post secret and any other off-the-beaten-path web gem. I like poems and photographs and puzzles. (things that start with the letter "P"???) Making random stuff is fun! I am nonpolitical and non-religious - zealots make my head hurt. My pet peeve - people who take themselves too seriously. I am a newbie. Not easily offended and I have a terrific sense of humor... so send what makes you happy and i will happily receive it!

Favorite Crafts

I don't consider myself "crafty" in any one sense of the word but I like projects!

Favorite Books

I don't read nearly as much as i used to... "Cloud Atlas" by David MitchellJonathan Safran Froer"Time Travelers Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger Any Kurt Vonnegut.James Baldwin. Poets - Coleman Barks. Billy Collins. Brenda Shaughnessy. Lucille Clifton.

Favorite Television

Sherlock. Hannibal. Raising Hope.

Favorite Music

Jason Mraz. Ben Folds. Colin Meloy. Tory Amos. First Aid Kit. The Shins.

things i like...

Found photographs. Any cotton fabric - interesting prints. Day of the Dead junk - especially looking for fabric with sugar skulls, dancing skeletons, etc... Images of Buddha. Puzzles (not jigsaw) and logic problems. Super cheesy t-shirts or bumper stickers. Taking pictures. Poems.

I do not care for: Kawaii, Disney or other cutesy themed items. Make-up - I don't wear it! . Synthetic yarns and fabrics. Religious themed items.

Comment: Fantastic inspirational pictures. Loved the Howl's moving castle - my son and I have read the manga series and watched the film - so very much close to home. Also loved the bottle house reminds me of the walk my son and I used to take under the seafront promenade (when it was wild wet and windy weather) where there is a bottle alley that cemented gllass shards into the cement wall. The barter bookshop - what a lovely place to wile away the days - could have quite easily lost myself in there during my teenage and early twenties when I was a bookworm.

You are funny! Thanks for the nice message. I'd like to leave you a more interesting message here, but I'm at work trying to lesson plan (I'm a teacher) on a Sunday. Bleh. I find myself overly stalling to get stuff done, so I'm going to go now. Look forward to talking with you soon! Jamie
