Creative type since I was old enough to remember and probably arranged my toy blocks according to colour or tried to paint with my cereal milk before that!
Very active and curious mind, trying to stay fit and healthy but often find me in my craft room, watching a movie or rooting through "stuff". Fond of shopping for fashion, small appliances esp for cooking/kitchen. Love old movies and new scary movies especially gothic types like The Others or The Innocents. Comedies, and period dramas are great too!

Love all types of history: cultures, religious, controversies, larger-than-life historical figures, etc. I like reading up on lost expeditions, shipwrecks and found wonders [Titanic comes to mind}! Enjoy reading up on science, current events and .....my biggie: LOVE ALL ANIMALS.......[ok, maybe not an African Rock Python - yech!] .....but based on my love for animals and my belief in the kind compassionate approach to our living with and alongside nature, I actively promote the belief that people should be responsibly "pet-ready" so that we keep the shelter population down.

Enjoy meeting other crafters and swaps, yay!

My main hobby is paper crafts and "rubber" stamping where I make and give cards,mini-albums and scrapbooking pages. I've added Project Life to this as well. My secondary hobbies are floral crafts. Lastly I do painting [art and decor]. I make 'a lot' of gifts and decor items. Plus I help with party-decorating and photo booth props.

Like: $$$ - anything to do with my diecutting Big Shot machine {dies}; paper punches; specialty tools [Bowmaker,] stamps {prefer clear or cling}

$$ - embossing folders, markers [alcohol,dye or paint], cardstock, embellishments for cards and scrapbooking, stencils, inks [alcohol, dye, chalk]

$ - ribbons & twine, gems [stick-on], washi tape, adhesives, glitter [sprinkle, glue, etc], stickers, flowers, odd things for decorating, recycling [interesting ephemera], stick-on letters, rub-ons, buttons & brads, general craft items.

I also like receiving cards, mini-albums, ATC, altered items, hand-made earrings, cute pocketbooks, notebooks, pens, photos, postcards, cute items {coin purse, purse mirror, small hand lotions, knitted anything { I can't knit for my life!}, and general small gift items {mini-games, votive candle,etc} If it is under cute, interesting, sparkly - "girly" - then I am sure to like it. :)

Not a great start for a newbie. I participated in 2 swaps and one was Altered Paint Brush where my recipient was a "flaker" as it is called on here, and did not rate me for my lovingly-crafted paintbrush and small gift. You can see it on my blog.

My second swap went as intended, and so great!

A third private swap nicely approached me and unfortunately they weren't able to send me their half but I was happy to send them a card I made and they were happy about it.

So that business with the flaker was not a nice start! Did I just get unlucky - keep in mind, it was a small group - just 3 of us - which means the flaker's partner received NO paintbrush, and she was the Host.

I hope this is not the usual start for newbies around here, hopefully better success in the future!

NOTE - as of January, we discovered a huge problem in one exterior/interior wall - mould! So unfortunately I had to throw out a lot of craft supplies as they smelled of 'musty' and I have been busy-busy-busy- with getting ready for the contractors in March. So needless to say, I can not participate in swaps at the moment. Hopefully will all be over soon. Cheers.
