I am a thirtysomething female who loves to knit. I am married, and we have three dogs – a chihuahua, a pomeranian mix, and a jack russell terrier mix. I currently live in Arizona, but I miss the south, where I grew up. I miss the green plants, the architecture, the food – the only thing I do not miss is the humidity!

I like to be transported to a different world when I read. Mostly escapist reading, and lots of favorites from my childhood.

• Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Fortunately, my husband is similarly addicted. We watch the entire series at least once per year, and once, we started with episode 1 as soon as we finished the series finale. We both admit we have a problem, but have not moved on to wanting to do anything about it.

I enjoy a pretty wide range of music, including pop, swing, big band, classical and broadway. My favorite is Phantom of the Opera, and I have seen the show live six times so far.
