About Me

I am a Christian since 1993. I am a wife of (almost) 27 years. I am a SAHM of 2 girls. 1 is in her first year of college and the other is homeschooled. I am not fond of spring because that means summer is coming - I hate being hot! I love fall and winter. In January I decorate the house with snowmen and snowflakes, Feb is hearts and red& white flowers, March is green, unless Easter comes in March then I do spring-y decorations until summer. Then I get out the light colored knick knacks (shells, baskets, etc) until September when we go into fall colors. I don't do halloween so we stay with harvest dec until Thanksgiving then in December is Christmas, of course! I don't do Santa Claus unless he is the "Father Christmas" or old world type. I eat most candies. My favorite candy bars are 3 Musketeers, Butterfinger, &York Peppermint Patties. I never met a box of sampler chocolates I haven't liked (oh, except Esther Price - YUCH!)

Favorite Crafts

I have been sewing since I was 9 when I made an apron in a class at some lady's house. I never got to finish it though because my parents divorced and we moved away. I took it up again when I was 13 and haven't stopped! I used to make mostly clothing but in the last 5 years have moved steadily more into quilting.

I also like to scrapbook, sew, read, sew, knit, sew, cook, sew, travel sew, x-stitch and sew.

I recently got a long arm quilting machine and am really excited about it! I hope to someday quilt for others as a side business.

Favorite Books

My all time fave is Gone with the WInd. I also like historical fiction. Lately I've been reading the ElmCreek Quilter's series.

Favorite Music

Christian praise and rock, old (70's & 80's)rock/pop, classical & music from the 50's and 60's. Favorite artists are/were Queen, Foreigner, STYX, REO Speedwagon, Rush, BeeGees, Newsboys, Point of Grace, Michael W. Smith,

stuff ~

Comment: WOW Lori!!!! I love my stuffed socks!!! The yellow socks from Brazil are so cool! My grandkids are wild for them too! I love the green and pink angel box you painted, and the beautiful angels inside it. The eighteeth century soap smell sooo good! I enjoyed reading about the history of making soap. Sure it has changed over the years! Love the blue beads and pearls - they'll certainly come in handy. Yumm - the white chocolate and raspberry body lotion smells yummy! I really love the oven mitt. I like the way it fits on your hand. It's easier to grab a hot pan and not get burned. Did you make it. If so, where did you get the pattern? The mint green tea and Southern Comfort gormet coffee will be greatly enloyed. Last, but not least, thank you for the bubbles for my grand children. They thank you too!!! Lots of fun for all! I wish I could give you more than one star - but here's a 100 hugs. Sherry
Response: I am glad you enjoyed your goodies. I had fun putting it all together. Yes, I did make the mitt but I made it awhile ago and don't remember the pattern. I looked through my sewing patterns and couldn't find it. Sorry. Enjoy your goodies!
