I was born and raised in Virginia, but now I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and 4 cats. We also have an adopted timber wolf who lives in a sanctuary. I love video games, hiking, geocaching, traveling, learning languages, crossword puzzles, documentaries on any subject, and American football (Go Cowboys!).
I had penpals when I was younger and I've just recently gotten into Postcrossing and snail mailing. Nothing is more exciting than opening the mailbox and finding a surprise from somewhere else in the world!
My profile picture was taken in front of Gullfoss during my trip to Iceland in February 2017. Although I missed out on the northern lights, it was an amazing trip and I can't wait to go back!
A note about mailing dates: I mark my items mailed when I put them in my mailbox. However, I live in a small town and our carrier delivers on foot, and on busy or bad weather days he might not make it back to the post office before the mail truck leaves. Therefore, items may not be postmarked until a day later.
For swaps of unwritten postcards I prefer non-tourist ones!
I like most kinds of tea, especially spiced/fruity/dessert teas. I love to try new flavors. I love chai, salted caramel, apple, peach, orange spice, grapefruit. I'm not fond of bergamot.
Some of my favorites:
From Canada: PC Chocolatey Chai
From Netherlands: Pickwick Dutch Tea Blend
From Turkey: Dogus Apple Tea
From Slovakia: Mistral Magic Time
From Germany: Messmer Rooibos-Vanilla
From Hong Kong: Or Tea? Yin Yang
Please no Bigelow Vanilla Chai - loved the taste but it made me break out in hives. Other Bigelow teas are fine and other brands of chai are fine :)
