I'm a work at home Mother of 2 ( Girl and Boy ages 3 and 5) who loves crafts, knitting, spinning, everything fiber related. We just adopted a 4 year old male Boston Terrier named Chopper. He is the sweetest dog ever!

I also own/operate an online fiber business, but I've joined this site purely for fun! If you're a knitter send me a message and I will send you some patterns I have created (shawls, scarves)

I've joined several pen-pal swaps so far- I'm always interested in Pen palling. I'm really new to this (well I had one when I was a kid) so I don't have the nicest stationery yet, but I'm slowly building stock.

Postcards!! I'm on postcrossing so I love to get postcards either blank (for me to use) or filled out. I'm also on bookcrossing, though I haven't quite figured everything out yet.

My favorite color is Green. I'm not eating sugar right now as I'm trying to reach a weight loss goal and I don't like the idea of genetically modified food.So, no sweet treats for me! I do love tea and coffee though mmmmm

I've traveled to several countries, but haven't left the states in about 9 years. I'm pretty eclectic- I love sparkly things, but I also love natural looking things. My home is very bohemian, and I have an affinity for anything arabesque. Our family loves music and my husband is an excellent guitarist.

I love handmade things! I love when people put lots of thought and time into creating something from scratch.

I collect nature photography (especially trees!), Polish Pottery, Jadeite bakeware, hand carved stamps, ephemera (love old postcards and soap labels). I love jewelry, but I can't wear non-precious metal earrings. I also love handmade body care stuff- that is all we use, our whole family is allergic to the synthetic stuff!

I love to learn about other religions and belief systems, don't be afraid to talk about the deep stuff with me.

Right now, I'm on a preparedness kick since we had a horrible storm last year which devastated our town. I find it fun to stock up water/food and learn survival skills!

Books I enjoy: Non Fiction on various topics like homebuilding, permaculture, anything craft/art related, photography, altered art etc. I also enjoy some self-help/emotional freedom books. I also love good fiction- no romance novels, pulp sci fi etc. I studied creative writing in college so I'm a bit of a fiction snob. Don't get me wrong- I loves me some Tolkein/Lackey fantasy but this genre seems really hit or miss with me.
