I am a 44 year old mother of a great little boy. Dakota is 9 years old. He has recently started collecting postcards. He enjoys all kinds, he gets so excited checking the mailbox each day. We live in a small town in northern Alabama, about 10 minutes from the Guntersville Lake. Dakota loves to swim, read, and draw. He loves anything to do with Star Wars. I took him to the Star Wars convention at the Huntsville Space & Rocket Center. He was so amazed! He had his photo taken with everyone. I have a wonderful husband and loving parents, but as I guess you can tell, my world revolves around my son.

Dakota and I like our postcards stamped and written on. He reads the postcards to us, we discuss the picture on front, and the area where it was mailed from. It is a pleasant way to learn about new people and places in the world.

Ever since I was just a little girl, I have always enjoyed a good scare! I started out with movies like Psyco and Jaws. That was it, I was hooked for life.

Dakota has recently joined the Cub Scouts. He is very excited about it. We went on our first field trip on September 12, 2010. It was a lot of fun. Next weekend we are going on our first overnight campout. I have not slept in a tent in over 30 years! It will surely be an experience. Learn more about our family at my Facebook site.
