AS OF MARCH 10, 2010 OKAY I have had to admit defeat. That swap bot is SO fun and I have been reticent to keep cutting back and cutting back.

This last time I cut back but my oversight has been to not sign up for swaps that are due around finals time!

I could have even handled that, had my 16 yo not left home, rebelled etc. It's the emotional toll, plus all the extra meetings, etc.

Taking a cue from another sb'ers statement that swapbot is beginning to feel more like work than fun, I guess it is for me too.

I'm still going to sign up just going to be REALLY careful about it.

I'M ONLY SAYING ALL OF THIS BECAUSE I HAVE SENT LATE ON MY LST 3 OR 4 SWAPS AND I FEEL AWFUL ABOUT IT!

One, once in a while is okay but if I am a late sender as a pattern I need to stop signing up!

For those who are receiving late swaps from me, I DO recognize this and am correcting in the future! I am going to try to make up for it by sending extra if I can, but other than that, I hate being a flake and really..this is becoming "flaky".

I really love swapping tho and wish i had more time, or rather, a better state of mind. I have been overlooking some details in instructions also

Anyhow I rate on effort, NOT result. even if an atc isn't my favorite I will give a good rating because you can usually tell when a person tries.

I don't keep track of who rates me and I don't keep track of flakers. Mainly b/c I have really been blessed by some people's swaps and I consider what I am doing is as much as for myself as for others.

If someone flakes I figure that God will bless me another way or whatever...

I worry about losing track and not rating someone. So if it's past 2 weeks and I didnt' rate you PLS EMAIL ME and I WILL!

I have a somewhat recent 3. I sent the handmade cards, but the ink linked thru the paper and the receiver got on my case about it. I have since purchased better paper, although I still am figuring out what thickness of atc's to use with how i make them. Anyhow, the person running the swap didn't give me a chance to make them over, and told her to give me a 3. I admit I responded rudely to both of them, because when I explained to the receiver that I was out of sorts b/c my husband almost died from a heart attack in May and had just come home in June and I was still trying to catch up on everything..She made fun of me saying I was giving a sad story about my husband's medical condition.

The thing is, I did spend a lot of time hand drawing the cards. I just didn't think the ink leaking thru mattered as much, because it happened before and no one ever said anything.

Anyhow, you can read my other reviews and see that I always resend if something happens. I also have remade things, and try to be more realistic about what my limitations are before signing up for a swap.

I don't do cards anymore, I "angel card" which is sending cards to people who are lonely, medically handicapped, etc.

AFTER the swap's 2 week grace period, I rate what i have received once a week on average. pls email me if you are in a hurry and i will fit it in asap!

DISLIKES: the only thing i don't care for is goth,dark,twilight,pagan symbols or anything along those lines. I know that is popular right now but it isn't my thing.
