About Me

Hi! I'm a grad student in English literature and I've loved "real mail" all my life. Since none of my friends are sending mail my way, I thought I'd get on board with swapping!

Favorite Crafts

My main craft interests are sewing, crocheting, knitting, and embroidery. I've also recently built a loom with which I am experimenting. I also love cooking and baking. I've dabbled in beading and some jewellry making, though with only a certain amount of success....Too many hobbies, too little time!

Fascinations

I'm also an avid collector of postcards (but only bizarre or totally confounding ones!), stationery, and kitchen gadgets. I like to think I'm a collector of cats, given that I have two of the rascals, but sometimes I just think they've collected me. Beyond cats, my most beloved animals are donkeys. I collect anything donkey-related--they are too sweet to pass up!

As for colours, I love bright, rich, earthy tones: mustard yellow, moss green, aubergine, and so on. Really, though, there are few colours I don't like--pink and sunshine yellow might be my only sticking points, but I'm always open to suggestion!

Rickrack, ribbons, buttons, and curiously patterned objects are all particular loves of mine. I love receiving fabrics, yarns, embroidery floss. I am especially susceptible to poppies....if only I could grow them in my tiny apartment!

I study modernism and interior design/architecture in literature, so all things design-related are right up my alley. I love all sorts of music, though my tastes tend to run to the obscure.... As for books, well, I've got an apartment overrun with them...perils of the trade, I guess.

Less-than-fascinations

There are few things I don't like--I'm here to have fun swapping goodies, so I'm not going to be too fussy! Although, having said that, artificial vanilla scent tends to make me lose my mind. I'm also not keen on scrapbooking, even though I find all the little doo-dads you can get rather fascinating!

Swappin'

I'm totally up for one-on-one swaps as well. Message me with ideas! Happy swapping!
