***on 5/4/12 i was in a serious scooter accident and have been in the hospital for a week. i broke 6 ribs, my clavicle and scapula and punctured my lung i will write but it may look like a 6 year old's writing because i broke everything on my dominant side :( just fyi*****

I am a 28 year old opera singer based out of Houston, Texas. I love all things crafty. I have a 13 year old golden cocker spaniel, Remington, who is the love of my life. :0)

I'm an only child - so I love attention and being on stage (maybe that's why I'm an opera singer?) At least I recognize my faults and am willing to admit them right?

My mom (who died of breast cancer 2007) called me her Lil' Butterfly - so I LOVE anything to do with butterflies. Cards, necklaces, rings, paper, fabric etc. Love. The more unique the better. No, I don't have butterflies all over my home, just in subtle places that make me happy.

My favorite music would have to be Opera #1. But that's my job. I do enjoy other types of music. My favorite group would have to be My Brightest Diamond. Their singer is classically trained and can do some wonderful things with her voice. I also enjoy oddities like Patti Plinko and her Boy. (Don't be scared away by the mask that her Boy wears in some of her videos.) I love the unique qualities of her music.

Favorite Classical Singers: Joyce DiDonato, Renata Tibaldi, Joan Sutherland, Marilyn Horne, Freni, Domingo, The Pav - etc.

I do NOT like Josh Groban or Charlotte Church or any of these "pop" opera singers. Ridiculous. No. Way.

And P.S. Phantom of the Opera is NOT an opera. :0)

I am a huge Harry Potter fan! Anything with a series - I've downloaded about 5,000 books to my iPad and I am constantly reading. I do miss reading a book by turning the pages, but to be honest, I read so much more on my iPad than I ever did before.

I also enjoy biographies and historical romance. A damsel in distress always gets me!

I only have 1... The Princess Bride. The. Best. Movie. Ever.

I enjoy Bones and all criminal tv shows. I'm not much into the ghost shows but a good Law and Order SVU makes me happy.

I also enjoy Parenthood and Modern Family.

I knit, sew, crochet, cross stitch and embroider. I also love modifying children's clothing and bedazzling. Hee hee.

I enjoy wonderful color combinations - chocolate brown and turquoise, purple and turquoise... okay anything with turquoise? Ha!

I'm not a fan of neutrals - unless you have some major accent pieces - there better be some color somewhere!

I dislike anything political. I do not want/need/desire anything regarding American politics at all.

I'm not a fan of cutesie teddy bears and old floral arrangements.

I think cupcakes are overrated - I'd rather have a whole cake. :o)
