I am a college graduate with a degree in English Education. I am married, happily, with way too many pets, but I love them all dearly. I read lots, and almost all genres, though I prefer literary fiction and historical fiction.

My interests vary and expand all the time, but currently, domestic arts (cooking, gardening, knitting) are my main areas of focus and growth.

I am also an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

I am very eclectic but tend to avoid rap and most country. I love Neko Case, Nick Cave, Trailer Bride, etc. I am always excited to discover my newest favorite band, so recommend away!

I read mostly histories, biographies, or historical fiction. I am mostly interested in novels that deal with cultures other than my own. I have only lived in the South, for example, so I tend to gravitate towards outside experiences. I also like the occasional "fluffy" read, most recently the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris.

I watch entirely too much TV. The ones I cannot miss are Lost, True Blood, and Weeds. I like dark shows with lots of layers, but still sneak in the soap operas when no one is looking.

I am a beginning knitter.
