I study the stars in the Universe. I am a scientist and enjoy doing research and also teaching. I am always looking for the "aha!" moment, when you (or someone else) suddenly realizes that you got it!

My wife is @hppyjessa and she loves swapping so much that her joy of swapping got contagious. And I caught it! :)

When I was kid, my dad gave me a set of his old stamps and I immediately fell in love with them. I then learned that my mom had a huge box of letters and postcards, and I asked her if I could cut the stamps from them. When she agreed, it was the start of my current collection! I collected stamps with my brothers for a long time, and then forgot about them, until a few months ago when I decided to continue with this hobby.

I went to buy a stamp album to an old collectibles store and I told the owner that I was returning to my hobby after years! He said: "You must be getting old. When you get old, you go back to the things you know best". I guess I know my stamps, and my stamps know me. :)

Stamp Topics I collect:

• Sports (Olympics, athletes, etc)
• Art (especially fine arts)
• Space (the Universe, manned space flight)
• Animals (also Insects)
• Flowers
• Popes
• Icons (religious art)

I don't collect the new stamps with sticker adhesive (I prefer the good old-fashioned lick-and-stick). And of course no torn or damaged stamps! :)

I do have a large amount of used stamps that are not suitable for collecting, because they are not in perfect shape: their condition ranges from a small missing corner to being torn. If you are interested in these stamps to make art with them (ATCs, collages, etc), please, message me and we can arrange a private swap!

I also have a small collection of bills and coins of all over the world. I prefer old bills and coins, but I also like keeping bills and coins of places I visit.
