Hello there! My name is Rachael but my friends call me Rachy. I'm 25 already which scares me a little bit!

I work as a waitress in a grill restaurant but my real passion is music and particularly songwriting. I play the piano and guitar and sing at church. I also do a bit of photography and and am considering studying it full time next year. Im always dreaming about the future.

I love going for drives in the hills with friends, or foodie walks around the city, exploring new places and discovering new food! Brunch is my favourite meal of the day. I am particularly obsessed with mushrooms at the moment. I also like collecting interesting business cards from the places I've been.

I love homemade cards and envelopes and I like to read inspiring quotes and poetry.

I would love to travel more! I've been to Nepal. India, Thailand, the UK, and Kazakhstan but there is so much more of the world I long to see! Getting postcards from exotic places is one of my favourite things :)

I love folk music, particularly artists like bon iver, matthew and the atlas, old angus and Julia, ben howard, old ben harper, clare bowditch, damien rice, james vincent mcmorrow, laura veirs, laura marling, jose gonzalez, the paper kites, sigur ros, vance joy and Xavier rudd.

I also listen to a lot of Christian music like will Reagan and the united pursuit, hillsong, bethel, Samuel lane and beau Maddox are some of my faves.

I don't read as much as I would like to, but some of my favourite books include finding grace, little house on the prairie, the great divorce, my name is asher lev, anne of green gables, the faraway tree, falling leaves, harry potter, and anything by john marsden or roald dahl.
