1/3/2022 Wow! Been awhile since I checked in! We just had a wicked storm come through up here in Alaska. Weird to have a big rainstorm between 2 snowstorms - We wound up losing power for about 3 days!! Am going to try to get back into swaps and hosting a few since it looks like this is another non-travel year for us. Hope everyone is doing well!

1/22/2019 All is fine on this side of the screen other then work is busy with projects - no time to dedicate to swap-bot at the moment. Sorry if I haven't replied to messages - but I have been keeping an eye out and rating any cards that come in.

Hi, My name is Sheli - I've lived in Alaska most all my life. My husband and I own and work in our little store called Alaska Transfers & Design in Fairbanks and live in the next town over named North Pole - and yes there is a Santa Claus house! Even reindeer! Some of the town is decorated year round and we have candy cane street lights.

Besides our little store which we make custom tshirts, mugs, coffee cups and such Plus antiques, novelties and Alaska souvenirs, we sell on eBay (have over 15,000 items listed in our Way Up In Alaska eBay Store (link is at top of profile)

We send and receive all of our mail from our store in Fairbanks since it's more secure than our roadside mailbox out in North Pole.

We enjoy spending the summers traveling in state as well as traveling through Canada on our way to visit the lower 48 to go antiquing and just seeing the sights.

Have one daughter who is grown up and out living life in with her awesome guy and kitty :)

For pets we have 3 very spoiled cats who enjoy watching the many cool animals that visit our backyard - We are lucky that the area area we live is all left wild by the other home-owners and hopefully will stay that way, we enjoy the wildlife viewing. This summer we've had a boom year of bunnies! So the owls have been hanging around looking for a quick meal! Have had a few moose that came by for little visits and signs that possibly a fox or lynx was coming through too.

Vintage cookbooks - have a few hundred in my library so far

crafting books - I have been collecting workbasket magazines. The older coats & clark ones are another line I collect and general crafting magazines too. The ads in the older books are great!

For book reading, Love the Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children series. Over the summer while we were on our trip, I read The Help ( I loved the movie and love the book even more!)

Don't really have a favorite genre, hard to pick a favorite movie, but Elf is always funny! :) So is National Lampoon Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story ( I do really love Christmas movie maybe it's because I live in North Pole Alaska ahaha!! ) Love a good mystery, documentary, or action filled movie - and old movies are great to watch too :) Horror is my good ol' standby when I can't find a movie I want to watch

We did the big cut the cord move and went and bought a Roku...TV is soooo much better !! :) I love watching older BBC shows - have re-watched the whole Call the Midwife series - Love it! Now we've been skimming through youtube channel watching walk throughs of RV's looking for our next one :)

Crochet is my favorite! I do other misc crafts, but crochet is my fav! Oh unless cooking is still considered a craft :) Love cooking, don't get to do much fancy stuff since it's just us, but if I find a fun recipe that I want to try out from my cookbook collection, I give it a whirl!

**In 2021 I picked up a couple new crafts - diamond painting and building miniatures. One thing I really love about miniatures, is I rule over all that happen in that little world haha! Fun building the little neighborhood and decorating each house / room up :)

I have no real preferences when it comes to swapping - but some info about me to help you make a choice - if those other categories didn't help out here is a bit more :)

We travel out of Alaska often in our RV so love RV themed goodies since we spend 70 days a summer living in it.

am a coffee and tea drinker - and am not choosey on flavors, always fun to try something new :)
