Comment: Marie, if you're so pressed for time that you have to send blocks that someone else made, it might be a sign to cut back on some swaps. I was disappointed to get my own blocks back. You're a good swapper otherwise, and I'd hate to see you start getting low ratings for this kind of thing.

Response: Thank you for the heart! I'm glad you like them. I'm all about bright, bold and funky. The other one was an experiment on other colors as I've received quite a bit of neutrals and darker colors and they seem to give the blocks a bit more "grown up" feel to them IMO. So I wanted to try it. Lol have you seen the quilt with the solid colored squares in between these? It pulls the blocks together regardless of their colors. That's what I'm going to do with these. :-)

Comment: Marie, you did not read the directions of the swap very clearly. You were to send 5 DIFFERENT fabrics not 5 squares of the same fabric. I am giving you a 5 though. Thank you

Response: Hi @LainieO thank you. I was confused and asked about it under the comments if we send the same or different fabrics. The swap coordinator answered in the comments and it still sounded like we were to send 5 like fabrics. She said "you can give each partner the same fabric" + the comment in the swap description that mentioned buying 1/2 yd of fabric which makes 24 squares which we keep 4 of for ourselves is why I sent the same fabric. Happy swapping!

Comment: I loved the block that you made, the brown fabric really set it off, instant love!I like this block, the first one was hard, but after ripping out all of the seams at least once, finally caught on, also thank you for the extra scrap pieces, I save and use all sizes of scraps, good luck with your baby quilt.

Comment: I liked the fabrics, the only downside was, they were all the same.

Response: Hi :-) I was under the impression they were supposed to be the same. I even asked about it in the comments section on the swap page and read it that we were supposed to send the same fabric. The host even mentioned in the swap how to get 1/2 yard of fabric and it makes enough squares for everyone and leaves you with 4 for yourself... If I read it wrong I apologize.

Comment: I admit I was upset when i received the card with my swap and found out i was getting used stuff so instead of being disappointed Christmas morning i opened it and I am like OMG an old Little house on Prarie book the ones i have are new color illustrated but this is vintage and i was very happy now if this will let me give u a heart i will if not I will add it tomorrow I loved it being an older version makes it even better not everything brand new is the best

Response: I'm very glad you like it! I was hoping that it was one you didn't have already. It's an original rather than a new reprint. While I can understand new, bright and shiny; when it comes to some things, I lean more towards old and original. I really hope you like it. :-)

Response: Thank you for letting me know! We don't live in town and I, personally, only get into town maybe once a week. So, I gave it to my hubby to mail on Friday... I'll have to ask him about it tomorrow and see what he says. Sorry for that! I was told that it was mailed out...
