Hello All! This is my first swap here on Swap-Bot so I hope that I do all of these right! Just as the title says, Handmade Gift tags. Christmas is comming, and sneaking up on us rather quickly...! EEK! So, you will have 2 partners and you will send each of them 4 handmade tags. Please put effort into these, and send what you would expect to receive! Dimensions to be No Smaller than 2x3 and No Larger than 4x6 this is a requirement. Use all kinds of techniques you can think of! Glitter, die cuts, paint, ribbon etc.. GET CREATIVE! Lets get our Christmas on! ^^ Newbies come on in! --I reserve the right to ban as necessary--

Can you buy blank store tags and decorate them. I think the dimensions are ok? I got rated badly on this kind of swap before, and the other partners loved them. I spent a lot of time stamping, water colour, using ribbon, glitter on each one. I was most disappointed and often reluctant now to take part in these swaps.

@theowlclub - The dimensions are in inches! ^^ No worries!

@violin21 - I am sorry that you have been rated poorly before for this kind of thing, but normally a handmade tag is completely made from scratch. When you buy things and deco them yourself, thats normally thought of as altering.

I normally put a cute simple "TO: and FROM:" sticker on the back of mine tho. But I am sure if you talk to your partners it would be totally fine. DBR

The thing I love about making my own tags is that I get to write To: and Love: as I used to cross From: off store bought tags. =)

I didn't realize that handmade means you can't use blank bought tags and decorate. I would have done what Violin21 did also. How interesting! Live and Learn!!!

I wouldn't say can't, but normally handmade is totally HAND made. To each their own, but for this one I would like the majority for the tags to be completely hand made/cut etc..

Yes, I didn't know that either about buying bought tags and decorating them. Although when I do decorate them, you can't see ONE PART of the old card. I think I did it more about getting a good shape and a good place where the hole is up the top. It's easy enough to design your own though. I mostly do - just that I saw some tags at a craft store and bought them.
