I absolutely love Valentines Day, walking, tiny envelopes, decorated envelopes, farmer's markets, Vintage Valentine postcards, humpback whales, chickens, the beach, being outside, the color pink, holiday decorations on houses, anything with Korean writing (hanguel)and life! I absolutely am crazy for the Bee Gees and anything to do with them!!!!

I am a 1st grade teacher (since 1992) and the lucky mom of two great kids: 25 year old son and 14 year old gymnast daughter and three chickens Annabelle, Sami, and Daisy who are 2 years old this February. I raised from when they were 2 day old chicks. My flock! I am married to a wonderful guy. Life is solid and good.

I am obsessed with Gretchen Rubin: The Happiness Project, Happier at Home, and the latest book is Better Than Before. She has changed my live for the better. I tried to have a swap-bot swap to be in a book club but no one else loves her, I guess. Sad! She has impacted my life for the better.

I went to London and France in July 2010 for the first time in my life! It was amazing :)This past summer I went to ALASKA (July 26) and loved it!!! I eat local food as much as I can, I grow organic vegetables and fruit like crazy in my backyard, I grow extra for the food bank and am in the "plant an extra row for the hungry" program. I read the book 12x12 and am enthralled by the idea of living in a small cottage and being as self sufficient as a girl with an iphone and lap top can be! I know I am a "gadget sinner" but I am striving! lol I also want to be the best mom to my kids. I try so hard to do this because time passes by so quickly and I want my daughter to have the best childhood ever and now for my son, the best adulthood ever! We just bought him his own teeny tiny small 32 foot home. :)

I've been taking Korean lessons for years and I was getting really good and then I got distracted for a year but trying to pick it up again!

Decorated envies, valentines, tiny envelopes, and Holiday-themed ATCs. I love the colors pink, and green and making things for the holidays or making things with Snoopy/Woodstock and Hello Kitty. I started making ATCs and even after a few years, I still feel like a beginner. Some look great and some, not so much. Recently, I am attempting to decorate matchboxes.

Biking...good times! I have an old bike that I decorated with spoke charms, handle streamers, a basket with flowers...well, you get the picture. Second childhood!

I love music! My husband and I have a Concert Bucket List. Just this year we have seen: Van Morrison, Barry Gibb (Bee Gees), REO Speedwagon, Chicago, Offspring, Paul McCartney, Marty Balin, Starship with Mickey Thomas, Eddie Money, Tesla, 38 Special, Fleetwood Mac, and coming up is Jefferson Starship, Everclear, Todd Rundgren with Ringo Starr, and The Who! We are having the time of our lives. :):) Now if only AC/DC would tour. My favorite band besides the Bee Gees and Everclear!

UPDATE: AC/DC is touring and I have tickets to see them in San Francisco on Sept. 25. My life is AWESOME!!!

UPDATE: Saw AC/DC and they were better than I expected. AMAZING!!!!

The beach. I need the ocean. I need sun on my face. It makes me happy but I also like walking on a cold night and looking at houses and the life going on inside.

I'm just a simple gal living in a ritzy and stressful area of California. Regardless, I stay true to my hippie nature and eat at home, live simply, and raise chickens to the amazement and sometimes sideways glances of my high faluten friends at my high faluten job! lol

I can't believe that me, the hostess of a swap would be flaked on but I was!

The Crimson Tide never sent my Woodland Forest ATC. I have sent a message to all the forest fairies, gnomes, and animals alerting them! haha

Blueskysunburn never sent my ATC orange text. says she is going through a nasty divorce. UGH! I was the only one in the swapping group to be flaked on.

Seriously, though...it really stinks to be flaked on!
