Description:
This swap is bringing back to life one of my favorite old SB groups that unfortunately ended. If you remember jek and the Coloriffic Swap-o-rama, this is a similar idea. For our A&B Swap-o-rama, I will chose 2 colors each month and you will each have 1 partner. You will send your partner either 1 handmade item featuring both of that month's colors or 2 handmade items, each featuring one of the month's 2 chosen colors. Your items can have more than the month's colors in them, but need to have at least one or both of them as a minimum. The swap is sender's choice, and should be rated based on meeting the color challenge for that month. This swap is open to all members of the A&B group in good standing in the USA. The colors for our 2nd swap-o-rama will be.... purple & blue Just to clarify.. you are free to use any shade of these colors that you'd like... light/dark/royal blue, lavender/dark purple... I won't nitpick in the color choices each month's swap description, so you've got lots of freedom to create away

Could bath n body products be used for this as well?! Say for instance, Spa Tonic Handcrafted soap with blue swirls. Would this be ok? Or do you just want paper crafts or sewing ? Great idea for a swap:)

As long as its handmade by you I don't have issue with it but you should probably check your partner's profiles... if they prefer not to receive that sort of thing then I would go with another idea.

Don't lock yourself into just paper or sewing tho... you could felt, knit, crochet, work with jewelry, clay, mixed media... there's all kinds of avenues you could take with this.. my main concern is that we all take time to create something nice and handmade for our partners. I haven't sent for this month's yet actually because I'm still working on them... one idea went south so I'm working on another. :)

To clarify...(1) 1 handmade item with BOTH blue and purple OR (2) 2 handmade items with only one blue and one purple (variety of hues)??

Correct... you can do some additional little things to tie it together if you want, but you are required to do at least one things that has both of the swap colors in it, or 2 different that each represent one of them. You can add in other colors too, but blue & purple have to be represented.

For example: For the last swap I did a bowl in green, a knitted scrubbie in green/yellow/white yard and a pendant in yellow. That's how I covered the colors myself for the last swap.

(Hope my partners don't read that :)
