Description:

For this swap we will send a piece of naked mail to our partner. See how much you can surprise them when they open their mailbox to something different!

What is Naked mail? It's an object sent through the mail without wrapping, envelope or box. Just write the addresses directly on the object or use a mailing label, add stamps and send it!

I have seen a melamine tea cup (label attached to handle) A giant Lisa Frank Lipstick filled with stationery goodies, a set of ice trays, even a playground ball Please do not send anything that resembles a usual letter, postcard or package.

Sender's choice. You can, but are not required to look at your partner's profile for ideas.

In the US you can send anything that is not liquid, perishable, fragile and won't damage the mail processing machinery. If you are outside the US you'll have to check about your postal service regulations but there is plenty of naked mail being sent in many countries.

Newbies welcome and you have two weeks before the send-off date to decide what to send.

Please PM me if you have any questions. These are really fun swaps, and I may do a series if this one goes well!

Happy Swapping!

Catchy title, that's for sure. Oh, and I like the idea, too. However, I quite doubt I'll be able to do that here, in Lithuania. I once asked postwomen in my local post office about it, and they just looked at me as if I'm insane or sth. Maybe I should try inquiring about it somewhere in a bigger city, but I really really doubt it anyway.

Some have complained here in the US about grumpy postal workers who would not accept items, but they just tried another office or hand posted it and dropped it in a public box instead. If you do decide to join, I would suggest taking a pic of your item before you drop it in the mail, so you can let your partner know it was actually sent in case it doesn't make it.
