Description:

The Breakfast Delivery swaps have been some of our most popular in the Edibles group. This is round #5.

The old saying goes "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" So, let's ensure our partners one tasty, typical breakfast delivered directly to them. :-) You will send both a food item and a beverage to complete the meal. Let's try to send something that represents a typical breakfast to us but also tries to share something new with our partners.

Some possibilities for food items would be jams and jellies, breakfast bars, flavored oatmeal or cereals, nut butters, honey, breads, or cookies. If you're a fan of hot drinks--tea, hot chocolate, or coffee; or perhaps you prefer a cold drink or smoothie mix?

For this swap you will:

  • Have one partner.

  • Provide your partner with a typical breakfast food and beverage.

  • Send a swap of approximately $3-$5 in value. When in doubt, err on the side of generosity.

  • Include a short letter sharing what a typical breakfast for you is or why you chose to send the items you did.

  • This is a sender's choice swap because it represents what the sender would typically have for breakfast. However, please make sure that perishable foods are not sent as part of this swap.

Before assigning partners, I will check that there are no overdue swaps, everyone has logged in recently, and that there are no unexplained/unresolved 1s or 3s. I dislike banning people from swaps, but I will do so to help ensure that everyone has a successful experience in this swap.

These things are also very important in sending out a nice swap, and they are considered requirements of this swap:

  • Send foods in commercially sealed packaging for health and customs reasons. Be sure to check expiration dates before sending.

  • Be courteous by sending our swaps on time and rating our partners when we receive. In the rare circumstance that you must be late, it is expected that you will contact both your partner and the swap host before the send-by deadline has passed.

  • Package your swap appropriately to protect the contents. Zip-top baggies are smart for containing unexpected breaks and leaks. Boxes rather than envelopes should be used for fragile items. We all appreciate the efforts taken to keep our swaps enjoyable!
