Description:

This swap went pretty well last time and everyone that joined seemed to enjoy it (I recieved some awesome treats from my partners!), so I'm hosting it again :D I've made a couple of minor adjustments but I hope it will still be as fun as the last one was..

So, the idea for this swap is that you send 1 partner a small selection of sweets/candies or chocolate that, for the most part, would only be found in your country. So for example, if you're in America, you might decide to send Hersheys goodies, if you're in Europe you may send Milka or Nestle or if you're from the UK you could send Cadburys. I would advise on spending around £2.50/$5 on this, but if you want to spoil your partner, then do! There is no such thing as too much chocolate ;) It'd also be nice to include a little note, just to say hi and mention which swap the package is from.

If you have any allergies or any MAJOR dislikes ( as in you won't touch it with a barge pole) then please mention it in a comment below so you don't end up with a package full of stuff you can't eat!

I'm giving a bit longer to send your swaps this time as I felt it was a bit of a rush last time and I'm really busy for the first week or so of April.

I'm fairly sure that covers everything. If there are any questions or queries please feel free to leave a comment or message me. I hope everyone has fun with this swap!

ETA - Only swappers with ratings of 4.5 or higher please. Someone got flaked on last time and I'd hate for that to happen again :) (As yet) unrated newbies are more than welcome!

ETA - I reserve the right to ban any swappers that raise suspicion or seem dodgy..

NO chocs/candies with alcohol or gelatine for me! Thanks!

bubblygreek 03/14/2008 #

No fruit/cream choc, no mint and no liquorice please

Superchou 03/14/2008 #

crosses fingers for a partner in the UK - loves me some cadbury chocolate!

I cannot eat anything with any kind of nut, peanut butter is also a noooo. Please no chocolate with liquor either... but I am a HUGE sucker for caramel... yummmmm!

Superchou 03/14/2008 #

Oh! but if you do send something with a nut, it is not the end of the world... please just leave a note on it and I will give it to my stepson who LOVES candy... just about any and all candy...

lilychouchou 03/14/2008 #

I like most things, but chocolate is my favourite. :D The only thing I really don't like is dark chocolate. Just in case I get paired with anyone in Finland, I love the salty liqourice!

Lucky 03/14/2008 #

We have a lot of salty liqourice in Sweden to :)

lamborama 03/14/2008 #

Newrule... does that mean you're also looking for candies without for example, vanilla extract, or are those trace amounts of alcohol acceptable? Most flavorings like that contain at least small amounts of alcohol... and a lot of people don't realize things like skittles, starburst etc are gelatin based. In the US it's pretty hard to find candies that are really halal... so you might have to be pretty ingredient specific about what's ok or not.

Agnetha 03/14/2008 #

To my partner: Please no candy with: alcohol, nuts, coconut, peanutbutter, raisins.

NOTYOURPRIZE 03/14/2008 #

I'll eat anything! Not picky and not allergic! Cheers! (People will be crossing their fingers to get me! lol!)

RebeccaT 03/14/2008 #

I Love unique flavors of candies like rose and violet, they are hard to come by, so if you don't have anything like that no worries, I love chocolate just as much!!!

hetty 03/14/2008 #

Wow, that was quick work everyone! 18 swappers in one afternoon! Just a quick note - I hope it doesn't annoy anyone, but I'm going to have to push the mailing date back a week. If this causes anyone problems then just get in touch and I'll see what I can do :)

Anniehall 03/14/2008 #

I'm in... again!

dimanche 03/14/2008 #

in general i prefer chocoaltes and bubble gum... i don't like hard candies or gummies.

dana1214 03/14/2008 #

Hi No fruit candy, no mint and no liquorice please thank you

dana1214 03/14/2008 #

Opps Please no dark choc. Thanks again :)

rosemae 03/15/2008 #

Oh this sounds yum, I would really love just chocolate and the darker the better. This is my hubbies very favorite and please no nuts because my daughters will want to share and me too.

vanillabean 03/15/2008 #

I like just about any candy or chocolate! Whatever I don't eat my husband will eat! I do like hard candies, chocolate with or without nuts and fruit, anything mint - also incase my partner is from UK - I LOVE fruit pastilles!

MrsMJ 03/15/2008 #

This was so much fun last time!!

Allergy alert for my partner: I can't have treenuts or things that could possibly be contaminated with treenuts. Peanuts are fine. Most of the time chocolate is out since most chocolate companies make versions of their candy with almonds or something (at least here in the US.) It's probably safe to just eliminate chocolate.

I also can't have artificial sweetner, so if it says things like "low calorie" or has aspertame, saccharin, sucralose (splenda), or warns that it contains phenylalanine, I can't have it. I LOVE gum, but anymore, most of it contains this stuff because artificial sweetners make the flavor of the gum last longer. :( If you see any gum without this stuff, I'd probably love it even if it's a weird flavor. :)

If I get someone from the US, I am trying to find candy that I can't get in my area: Black Licorice Altoids. If you see any, I'd love some.

Take care! Good luck! And thank you for reading this!!

craftymama 03/15/2008 #

I love chocolate!!! I also really enjoy other kinds of candy too, especially things I've never had before. No allergies or dislikes, candy and I are acquainted and I like the friendship:-)

Anita 03/17/2008 #

I'm your best partner: I do like everything, LOL!

carolhiggy 03/17/2008 #

I love chocolate. I hate licorice. Especially black ones. Red is okay. Also, I love caramels. I received a nice package last time I did something similar.

jennyknitstoo 03/17/2008 #

Anything but dark chocolate will do for me. I love cadbury, lindt, ritter, and giradeli, as far as the US, I love saltwater taffy, and caramels

kristieward1974 03/18/2008 #

I enjoyed the last one so much have signed up again.

I love all chocolate nothing is bad. my kids really enjoy seeing what comes. If i am lucky enough to get a partner from UK ( home or at least it used to be) i would be your best friend forever for a packet of smarties and a flake.

cannot wait for this

littleangel 03/18/2008 #

i really like herheys cookies and cream:-))). Don t like dark chocolates, white is great!!! this swap sounds so much fun!!!!! i love to get shopping!!!

InceyWincey 03/18/2008 #

I love most types of chocolate, but if you're in the States or Canada and can come by the milk chocolate Moose Munch Bars with the bits of popcorn in them - I'll love you forever. Any chocolate will do, if I don't like it my fella will!

Please no aniseed, liqourice or bubble/chewing gum. Thanks!

yowell 03/19/2008 #

Hi..I LOVE chocolate, milk the best then dark but not so keen on white! I don't eat bubble gum (but my son does) and not fond of 'gummie things' but anything unusual welcome...always wondered about pocky!!I like nuts and we have no known allergies. Thank you

Susan 03/19/2008 #

oh my, too many don't want, don't like can't haves to join this candy swap, whats left? LOL applause to the likes & love to gets!

hetty 03/19/2008 #

Susan, I have to agree! Obviously if you can't eat something or it's something you've tried and would never consider again in a million years then mention it here, but I didn't mean to list every little thing that you don't like.. Please try not to be so hard on your partners! It can be a real trial when there's a big list of things that one can't send and then the swapping just becomes un-fun (? I don't think that's even a word :p)

GeorgeBee 03/19/2008 #

Wow quite a few people hoping for partners from the UK! I hope that your luck is in and then I can you something you really want!

Isn't it weird how you take things for granted that are a absolute luxury to someone else!!!! Like fruit pastilles, and a flake in a 99 ice cream hehee!

interdom1 03/19/2008 #

No food allergies - my partner can send whatever you like!

badkitty1782 03/19/2008 #

I don't have any food allergies and I'm not really picky. I prefer no gum (chewing or bubble . . . gummy candies are OK though) . . . and I'm curious about "unique" flavors or something that is regional. However, I'll be happy with anything I get. Thanks! :o)

pointypartyhat 03/19/2008 #

I am not a fan of gummy candy (except Kasugai), dark chocolate, or sour candy.

hetty 03/20/2008 #

Wow! We're number 8 in the top swaps; I'm so pleased with the response to this swap :D

Nanamint 03/20/2008 #

Yes, so many sweet teeth :op

I like everything except liquorice + I'm not very keen on gummy candy but I could still give it to my office buddies.

swtgagrl29 03/20/2008 #

Hate Liquorice and not fond of sour candy. I like the special dark chocolate but not the regular dark. I especially love mint chocolate and fruity candies:-) I am a chocoholic!!!! Thanks

coffeeflavoredkisses 03/20/2008 #

Hahaha Im pretty much good to go with anything however If your from somewhere far far away please do send something unavailable here in California! And Big Thank you! YUM!

lalchee 03/21/2008 #

I am vegetarian, so I don't eat anything that has gelatin in it, like marshmallows and most gummies (if you can find gelatin-free gummies, feel free to send some!)

I hate licorice and artificial cherry flavour, but everything else is fine. My profile has some ideas on it, too. :-)

sharone 03/21/2008 #

I like anything, but would love something that we can't get here in Oz, you could email me if you are not sure - but no stress. Hey, we have Cadbury chocolate here as well!!

KrisWW 03/21/2008 #

I'm pretty easy to buy for. :)

I love lemon and hard candy, sour is good! But pretty much anything goes.

I don't like nuts and dried fruit or artificial sweeteners in my sweeties. And I can't stand Hershey's chocolate.

chimerix 03/21/2008 #

I LOVE to try new things! One of my favs that I ever got in a swap was chili pepper peanut brittle.

I really dislike soft gummy candies (I do like the hard, kind of chewy ones) and I don't so much care for black licorice.

I LOVE peanut butter and well, pretty much anything else... check out my profile or message me if you have questions

NorthernBorder 03/22/2008 #
