Surprise packet #4

So this is a profile based swap, isn´t it?
And I have another question, is there some kind of spending limit or anything else to be shure it´s a fair swap? I mean in theory I could send a postcard, a few coins and a small magnet. On the other hand I could send a book, jewlery and a sack of candy. Thanks :)

This is indeed a profile based swap...but there could be of course other things in the surprise... With sending a postcard, coins and a magnet, it isn't really a packet, is it? ;-)

I don't put a price on the swap, just because not every country is as cheap/expensive as the other... Maybe I could have done that when it was only US, but this is an international swap...

A minimum spending limit in US dollars is clear for everyone I guess. I just mailed out my swap for #3. :)

Do we need to wrap the items as other swaps require or is this just a surprise package as entire package?

you don't have to wrap them, but if you like to do that, you can always wrap the items ;)

I agree with @betty194 because I have sent out packages that cost a lot to buy AND a lot to post, only to receive flat items - small boring stickers, a few ephemera papers, a postcard in return.

A minimum spend would help a lot. Maybe even a "Not only flat ephemera" or something.

I had the exact same thing. A tiny little envelope with one small notecard a couple of memo sheets and some tiny stickers. But technically it met the description. Watching for now to see if a guide is added.

I think the people here now what a "packet" is... A flat envy is not a packet... And I don't put a price on it. If I say € 3... then I can send 1 magnet and a postcard...really. The cheapest postcard I've bought in Belgium was € 0,30 and a touristic magnet is € 2,50... I don't think that would make someone happy...

It's kind of hard to put a minimum price limit on it because there are so many types of things you can send that don't cost a lot but are still loved just as much as something that costs a fortune. I like to hand make most of my swaps, put a LOT of time & effort into the items I send but sometimes I don't "pay" for them at all because I already have the materials or they are altered, etc. But still beautifully put together. I would not join if there WAS a minimum spending limit for that reason alone. I don't necessarily have the physical money to put out, but still know how to make it worth while for my partner.

It's about late swaps, not having 5 type3 swaps, or not being online for 1week or more. So please people...check your own profile and the rules before joining...

I completly agree with @ Breezybealle as one who would prefer to add some items hand crafted with love. Some postage out there is horrendous, so if you have recieved flat items from O/S be mindful that USA is not the only country in the world! For example... A postcard plain boring is a dollar plus here. Those small hat pins are $6. A lot of the world is in recession, so a little gratefullness might be needed by some swappers. Ok, I am off my soap box. Peace
