Hey! I think we should bring forward the send-out date, as since this is an International swap, I'm afraid some larger packages might not reach the recipient in time.

I could change it to a week earlier, which would be January 25th. Would that be okay with everyone?

I am really excited about this cool swap! I am disappointed however to see that some swappers have a 1 rating or poor ratings of never or having sent items or been super late in sending items. I surely hope I don't get them because I wouldn't treat another swapper that way. Just a thought.

in the u.s., i believe any package over 1 lb. has to be taken to the post office to be mailed, for security reasons. so most people just have it weighed there and have the printed post office sticker put on it. i imagine that you could have it weighed and then ask to have stamps put on it, though. something for your swap partner to keep in mind. :)

PJKat- If you go to "View Complete List of Swap Participants" under the Valentine's Day Swap, you will be able to see everyone who is in the swap-- then you can find your partner's name and click on it to view their profile. This should give you a better idea of their likes and dislikes. If you feel like their profile doesn't give you enough information, just drop them an email. :)

I have half of my box ready .. I would have been done already but I just got out of a long Jury duty trial, at 8 this evening, that I didn't ask to be there for. I don't think I will watch Law and Order for sometime now! They don't show the people sitting there for hours and hours and hours .......... LOL! Oh I just hope my partner likes what I just mailed off today...I had a tough time with this one as I seem to be a totally different person (taste-wise) than my partner...LOL. Although...my 19 year old son thinks she sounds like the coolest person...they love the same music and the same bands, etc. He said what I sent was nice...soooo....I'm hoping she thinks so, too. Couldn't send a large box of stuff, though because the postage overseas would've put me in the poor house!!! They say that nice things come in small packages though...so I hope she thinks that way, too ;o)

(that's why you don't have the option to rate your swap partner until a couple of weeks after the swap ends-- it's to give the package time to arrive).

This was the very first swap that I signed up for here at Swap-Bot after joining and it ended in disappointment. My partner ( coffeequeen ) never sent me a thing! Come to find out she was a notorious no sender and after logging in to leave her feedback I found out her profile is now deleted. This hurts because I put alot of effort into the package I sent to my partner and I'm getting nothing in return. I was so eager to participate in this swap because this is my favorite holiday and then it ended like this. I'm ashamed that people would do this : (

I totally understand how upset you must be, this has happened to me before too and it is just WRONG! I hope that the swap-bot administrators are still trying to do something about this as there are too many people out there who are just trying to scam "free stuff". I have noticed several profiles of previous partners who never sent me anything which have been deleted this week after I tried to get in touch with them. They obviously then go and create a new login to do it all over again. grrr

I think all swap coordinators have the obligation to ban all swappers with low ratings !!! It doesn't solve everything but its is a start . And if they take the risk to alow them well its there responsibility to forfill the missing swaps ! Butterfly Kisses I had this unpleasant experience myself 2 times . One was the swap coordinator herself , she never answered my mails . Indeed : GRRRRRR

I agree with you Sharlize and lamazon .

After learning that my first swap that I participated in would offer me nothing in return, I almost told myself that it wasn't worth doing anymore swaps. After I calmed down a bit I realized that it wasn't my fault I was paired up with a repeat 'no sender' who quickly deleted their profile after being given many 1 ratings.

It seems like there should be a way to ban repeat no senders from deleting their old profiles and creating new ones just to keep getting more free stuff without sending anything in return. Maybe an ISP address tracking system should be in order for such a thing. These systems seem to work well in messageboards and what not to ban people who create multiple accounts to harrass others.

As for it being the swap corordinator's responsiblity to forfill all the swaps that were never sent, it would be nice for them to do so, but depending on the swap it could get quite expensive. One swap I participated in had a spending limit of 10 dollars and it's now almost a week after the send date and 13 people still have not sent their swaps. All I have to say is what goes around comes around and I fully believe that people who abuse a place like this will get what is coming to them in the end!

I think this is alful! I did receive mine and my partner received hers from me and this was my first swap, I did talk a friend of mine into joining and it was her first and she bought really!! nice items and sent and she hasnt recevied a thing or herd a word from whom ever got her name. How alful.:(

if you have not yet received your package, please do not leave your partner a bad rating yet. there is still a possibility that your package is in the mail. once it is two weeks past the last send date (february 15th), i will survey everyone to find out who has still not received their package. after that, i plan to email everyone to ask for kind volunteers to send out an extra replacement package to people who haven't received one. today i will also be emailing swappers who status is still "not sent."

i know that it really sucks to send out something and not get anything back, so i am trying to do my best to make sure that everyone ends up with a swap package. it is unfortunate that no-senders snuck in to this swap. remember, sometimes people's bad ratings don't show up until AFTER the swap has closed and partners have been assigned. at that point it is too late to do anything. i wanted to give new swappers an opportunity to join this swap, so i chose to allow in people who were not yet rated.

Victoriafee thank you for answering and explanation ! I do believe no-senders snuck in because I followed upthe list and there was no one with a very bad rate untill febr 1 ! I agree you cann't ban no ratedswappers . We all were new with no ratings . When I don't recieve my package and don't get a mail with an explanation why it is late ( life isn't always working out like we planned )I give a negative rate but always promise to change it when the package arrives later on .

victoriafee - I also agree with lamazon about bad swappers sneeking in. I didn't see anything with a low rating until I checked the list yesterday to find my partners profile.

It is very nice of you to ask a few volunteers to help out by sending packages to people who didn't get one. I would be more than happy to volunteer for this since I personally know how it feels to get left out.

I too have been on the non receiving end, missed a Halloween swap like this one, so count me in to send a missed package. I just hope that this will work well. I have read someone's comment that she had sent her package and tracked it and knew it was received but the receiver said they hadn't received it!!! Another way to cheat!!! I have learned to track my bigger swap packages so at least I know and if someone says I didn't send I can send proof to the swap coordinator. Of course that only works on what I mail in the States. ok now I feel better.

I got the package just a few minutes ago, and I love it! Thank you so much! There were so many sweet things in it, and you've really made my day. I can't thank you enough. My two year old absolutely loves hearts and was all excited to look through the package with me. Now I just have to keep her from swiping everything!

Hi! I just received my package from Dancer Girl. I like it so much! She sent me chocolates, hand made cards, photo holders, stickers, potpourri,fabric, etc. I took a picture, so Ill post it as soon as possible. Thank you Eunice! I heard from my partner telling me the package was on its way. However, many many days later no package! I have rated her with a 1, I will change if I get a package.
