NH Getting to know Ephemera

I see the word all of the time and I had to Google it. I knew loosely what it was and saw the idea from someone in our group who wanted such a swap hosted. So I researched.

Wikipedia says: Ephemera is any transitory written or printed matter not meant to be retained or preserved. Some collectible ephemera are advertising trade cards, airsickness bags, bookmarks, catalogues, greeting cards, letters, pamphlets, postcards, posters, prospectuses, defunct stock certificates or tickets, and zines.

Can't tell you how many airsickness bags & stock certificates I come across (sarcasm) so let me tell you what this swap is for.

You will send 1 partner the equivilent of 15 pieces of ephemera. A piece will be roughly 4x6 inches or 101.6 x 152.40 milimeters. If you have smaller pieces, several of them that add up to that size only counts as 1 piece. Nothing larger than 8x10 inches or 203.2 x 254 (which would count as 2 pieces).

These items can be any listed in the official definition, cancelled stamps, movie ticket stubs, concert ticket stubs, international money, pressed pennies, bingo papers, neat/pretty stamped images, bingo tokens, free/ad cards, take out menus. If you have any other ideas, run them by me and I will include them. I will allow stickers so long as they aren't reward/teacher stickers. Etsy and Google have some great examples if you type in Ephemera Lot.

DO NOT USE THIS SWAP TO DESTASH YOUR TRASH. Send items you'd be happy to journal with or would keep for yourself.

Because this should be relatively inexpensive to send, this will be international. To participate, you must have a filled out profile and be current on your obligations including swaps and tags. No exceptions.
