Description:

I really enjoyed this swap the first time around! I got some really lovely scraps for my scrappy quilt. Let's do it again! I thought about changing some of the rules and making a weight requirement...but after thinking about it, decided against it. All fabrics can vary greatly in weight.

This is for all of those scrappy fabric lovers out there! I know I love to find and gather scraps of fabric to use in my sewing projects. I LOVE variety and a package full of scrap fabric pieces would just make my day.

Here's the rules:

  1. Fill a gallon sized ziplock bag (or a similar sized container) full of scraps of fabric. Fill it up! Make sure to reinforce your packaging so it doesn't bust open in the post.
  2. Fabric can be any weight, type, quality...this isn't limited to "quilting quality". To me, anything is quilting quality as long as it's cool. Cotton, polyester, velour, felt, fur, whatever!
  3. The more variety the better. I encourage small scraps with lots of different colors and prints, those ones that a lot of folks throw away. Let's say the scraps should be at least the size of a Kit Kat bar. For those of you healthy folks that don't reference candy for sizing, that will be about 3-1/4" wide x 4-1/4" long :P
  4. They can be irregular, no need to square 'em off or anything. Just try to keep it around the sizing requirement in total. If you want to send extras, go for it!

This will be IUSA only due to postage costs rising!

Everyone is welcome with a well filled out profile and a 4.9 rating or higher.

bahahaha! I love your unit of measurement! Everything should be measured in terms of candy bars. :P

For reference, the priority flat rate US Post Office envelope (not box) is just the right size for a gallon size baggy. You can stuff the same amount into the envelope or baggy. Often priority postage is less expensive and gets there quicker than parcel post or first class.

@junemoon thanks for the helpful info!
