(ROUND/CIRCULAR} DOTEE DOLL SWAP****

this sounds like fun. One question: does the dotee have to be completely round, like a ball? If so, I hope someone has a pattern. Or do we just make it a circular shape?

I use a sewing machine when I make the Dotee shape, then hand sew on embellishments. Quite a few crafters make them like that. So, no, they are not all hand sewn. And you want them circular like a penny, not round like a ball?

I also usually use a machine to sew the body together, then hand-sew on the face, beads, etc... :) Jen

My sewing machine is on the blink right now. The bobin is messed up. I hope you will enjoy the swap. I'm going to use a round picke jar to cut out my round dotee doll. I usually drink tea out od the jar. It's how southern people drink tea. Ay least I did as a kid. Back in the Day. Hugs, Char

Oh, I am glad you took the all hand sewn requirement off! I too, sew the body on the machine, and then hand embellish. I look forward to participating!

Now that we are talking hand sewn vs. machine for the body, I can see why some look so perfect, I was wondering why mine don't look as good sometimes as I hand sew them. Things that make you go Hmmm..:)

I hand sew all mine too. I happen to like that. =) That's what makes them fun, we all do our own thing! =) I have a good idea for this, now to get it done! Can't wait to see. HUGS, Judy
