7 Days of Creation

In honour of International Zine Month (July), I am hosting a 2nd round of this swap. :)

This is a 2-step swap:

1. Choose any period of 7 days which suits you (within the swap sign-up & send-by period), and create something...creative each day.
2. Make a zine to showcase your 7 days of creation.

What kind of creativity you come up with is entirely your choice within the realms of art, craft, and creative writing. You could follow a theme, eg learn a new zentangle pattern each day, photograph the sky through your window each morning, do a daily doodle of your dog, write a 60 word story, design an artistamp-a-day. Or you could create something different every day – it's up to you!

A standard 8-page mini zine will handily provide you with a title page plus 7 pages to display your 7 days of creation. (Templates & folding guide available here.) However you can make a larger zine (up to A6/quarter-size), if you prefer.

Requirements

• Send 1 zine to each partner. Minimum zine size equivalent of standard 8-page mini, maximum zine size A6/quarter-size – approx. 4” x 6”.

• Zines may be handwritten/hand-drawn, typed, word processed, photoshopped, cut-and-pasted – whatever style suits you. For those new to zines, it is usual to create one master-copy then photocopy or print multiples of the original.

• Late swaps & low ratings will all be checked before assigning partners, so please contact me if you think there might be a problem.
