Description:

I love getting decorated envelopes in my mailbox. It's one of my favorite things ever! You must also since you are in my group! Oh but you aren't in my group. Did you know there was a Decorated envied group and they are doing this very swap? I didn't get much sign up so I thought I would put it out to the public. Join my group if you would like to be a part of a monthly swap group. Well...pretty much monthly unless I spaz and need a reminder from rifkasorah!

This month for February 2015 is decorate your envelope with a VALENTINE theme.

I posted an image of a Valentine heart that I found on yahoo images. Go there for great ideas!

Reminders:

The envelope can be any size but decorate it anyway you would like with drawings, glitter, stamps, stickers, whatever. You are the artist! I beg you to spend some time on sending something you would like to pull out of the mailbox and only join if you intend on doing that.

You don't have to be a great artist, I know I am not and I use stickers but I enjoy creating and putting my best effort forward. It can be done!

Common Questions:

What is a decorated envie?

It is an addressed envelope with a postage stamp on it but all around the front of the envelope is decorations around the theme. The envelope is not naked any longer!

I also write on the front the name of the swap.

Back side is optional.

You do not have to make the envelope.

You cannot make an envelope out of a calendar page for the decoration and call it a day. You can make do this if you add other components to the envelope to make it decorated.

The envelope is sent through the mail so the post office, the mailman and then your swap partner sees the decorations.

A heart is given by your partner if they are pleased by your work. You do not have to put anything inside the envelope except for the name of the swap but it is always nice to include some cheer.

Please send your envie on time! Make it now and then when you get your partner's info, you just have to write their name and address on the envie. Viola! Sent on time.

I'm totally nervous about my lack of artistic ability but I'm going to give this my best stitch effort, it sounds fun! (:

Don't be nervous @dalbright :) There's so much you can do with paint, markers, rubber/cling/wooden stamps, collage, washi tape, colored pencils, water colored pencils, ink sprays, ribbon and on and on and you don't have to be "artistic".

I would really like to join this swap. Would you be so kind as to include me? Even if I make one and send it to you and you send me one.

Regards Lolly

I'm sorry Lolly. This is a USA only swap. Feel free to create your own international version! :)
